Oh, wait. My ancestors came over and worked hard. One set of Bavarian great-grandparents really were dirt poor. My great-grandfather died young and left behind 5 children. Yet their grandchildren were very successful with 2 becoming dentists.
So, instead of expecting some sort of reparations, I can only say, THANK YOU to the USA for allowing poor immigrants to come here and through hard work, have successful lives. They contributed to the growth of this wonderful country, and without that opportunity, would never have been able to work themselves out of poverty in Germany.
