Got that cheese, bread and champagne all ready? We had some homemade eggnog that hubby made. Now I’m on the computer and he’s watching TV. We’re such party animals! LOL!

Smoked salmon, not cheese. But you got the rest correct.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
FUN WITH CHAMBER MUSIC
BRAHMS: TRIO FOR PIANO, VIOLIN & HORN IN E-FLAT, OP. 40
Imagine the discipline it took for a composer to write for French horn and not use a single hunting horn call. For the first three movements, Jo explored every side of the horn except the traditional one. Even more, he wrote the horn part for the old valveless hunting horn even though the modern version with valves had been available for nearly 30 years. But in the finale, he cuts loose. The entire movement is based on hunting horn calls; in fact, its a fox hunt set to music, even to a cute little stretch at 1:17 that sounds like stopping to water the horses.
Brahms: Trio for Piano, Violin & Horn in E-flat, Op. 40, finale

Poor Penny! If that isn’t a “Woe is me” expression on her sweet face. ROTFLMBO!!
At least she kept it on ..... or did it take several attempts before you could get the shot? :-)

You can have it alone with crusty French bread, or add sweet onions and capers to it. Brut champagne goes best.

I reckon you DID feel that one! A 5.0 only a little over 6 miles from Anchorage.
Just your luck to have the internet mess up today, of all days. *sigh*

I have lived in Tx for 28 years.
there are a few things I don’t get... black eyed peas, and cornbread mashed in buttermilk.
Generally folks down here are fine, but on New Years Eve I like kielbasa in sauerkraut with granny smith apple in there.
It’s just traditional and tasty.
Dang southerners like it too, they invented little smokies and cocktail meatballs.
Least that’s what we let them think!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
FUN WITH CHAMBER MUSIC
BEETHOVEN: CELLO SONATA IN A, OP. 69
Long before John Williams wrote the Jaws Theme, Beethoven was playing with ostinato, in this case three-to-the-bar. The whole movement is based on that rhythm and features a sneaky end.
Cello Sonata in A, Op. 69, scherzo

While I love kielbasa, it gives me the worst gas. You don’t want to be in the same room with me afterwards.
