Facebook's massive, secret rulebook for policing speech reveals inconsistencies, gaps and biases... A Message from Yahoo Search

What is psoriatic arthritis? Look for symptoms, causes & more What is psoriatic arthritis? Look for symptoms, causes & more

The rulebook's details were revealed Thursday night thanks to a Facebook employee who leaked over 1,400 pages of the speech policing rulebook to the Times because he "feared that the company was exercising too much power, with too little oversight — and making too many mistakes."

Rules are simple: if it expresses a conservative or Christian point of view, its banned; if it criticizes anyone else’s point of view or even repeats, it it is banned.

All other points of view are welcome by the management in the name of fairness, free speech, and diversity in thought.

I think it’s wrong for Facebook to block people from expressing their opinions. Even if Facebook doesn’t like those opinions.

Exactly. Facebook censors should make but one decision about a comment:

1) Let it pass.

2) Call the cops.

In the 20th century, leftism was responsible for more than 250 MILLION deaths.

Works better and is more accurate to write: 250 MILLION murders.

Rule Book? We don’t need no stinking rule book to ban conservatives!

Why... when it can be destroyed or exploited from within? Use the enemy's assets against them - like Judo. They built us a trillion dollar platform to fk them over with, why let the left have it to themselves?

That's exactly right. Our enemies cannot easily be assaulted from the outside, using our corrupt political and legal systems. But they are vulnerable to subversion from within.

I have also previously advocated that conservatives abandon the Republican Party en masse, and join the Democrat Party. Our enemies have given us a built-in platform, a pre-brainwashed voting base, and an army of unquestioning drone workers. Run a black male conservative for high office and watch the Left tear itself to shreds trying to tell its base "No! Not this Democrat!!!" :)

They have left themselves very vulnerable to grassroots subversion, if only conservatives were smart enough to take advantage of it.

nextdoor.com has a similar problem, but the censors tend to be local volunteers most if not all of whom turn out to be liberal, supported by the liberal nextdoor management which is in san francisco, and apparently accountable to no one else. the volunteers are apparently appointed for life and there is apparently no external or public review process. the result is that conservative and libertarian arguments are simply censored, especially if conservative or libertarian members seem to be winning in an online debate. with conservative and libertarian arguments censored, only the liberal arguments are allowed to stand, and thus only liberal arguments prevail by default.

It’s ironic that the WND article has a link to “share on FB.” FB has become so ubiquitous and habitual that people use it without thinking. Kind of like driving the same route for years, it becomes automatic.

“So when is Trump going to actually do something? If he can’t even protect his own supporters from being suppressed on the digital public square, how does he expect to win re-election?”

Hey, SfB, he’s doing what he can with the cr-p Democrats, Republicans, MSM, and supporters like you.

Cba123 talks the same cr-p, saying that Trump should have had the Wall built already and since it’s not, he can’t vote for such a loser.

We have FReepers who believe Trump should be more capable than Jesus.

I agree Jeeves. I cost FB money every time I'm on.

Just one example; my last profile pic had Mark Suckborg with a big thumbs down ("unlike") over his dopey, rubber looking head. Whenever an ad comes up for a FB product, I go in the comments and trash it - in an honest way - whether it's from a 3rd party or not. There are lots of others doing the same. Conversely, I see almost nobody supporting FB or their products.

I'm everything they hate. Worse, I'm expensive as hell to them.

Depends on why you are using it. FB can be a great marketing tool when looking for tenants for rental property. You can go back and look at their profile history, see who their friends are and other good information.

It is also good for selling personal items. Lst week I posted a golf cart and a small utility trailer for sale and it was gone in less than 24 hours.

Check the bills if you take cash. There is a scam going on around here where the buyers are paying with counterfeit bills.

However bad Fartbook is, Twitter is a billion times worse, I’ve been permanently banned from them 6 times with 6 separate accounts and all for giving an conservative POV to some crap a Marixst posted. I think what happens is the Marxists I respond to flags the response because they don’t have the balls to debate or accept facts, and the Marxists running Twitter take a look at what I wrote, see that it’s a conservative response with undeniable facts, and use that to permanently ban me. It’s not cursing, I never wrote curses anyway, and Keith Olbermann cursed his brains out as you can see here and never got banned.

Nope, they ban people SOLELY for being conservative and this is a publicly held company.

Yes that does happen. Was at the grocery store the other day and the cashier marked all the bills, even the fiver. I asked if people were counterfeiting the fives and she said yes, even ones.

It should be considered a crime almost as heinous as his creepy pedo haircut.

I doubt this revelation will make a dimes worth of difference. If it’s reported by msm, the leaking, only, will be covered as a criminal act. Republicans may sputter and spark, but that’s probably as far as it will go.

Democracy (Encyclopedia Britannica film, circa 1946)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx25aMPvbJo

“The newspapers of a real democracy meet these tests...”

Newspaper checks.
1. Balance of coverage
2. Disclosure of source
3. Competence of staff

“A community is low on a ‘Respect’ scale if common courtesy is withheld from large groups of people on account of their political attitudes.”

“...in a downright despotism opposition is dangerous whether the despotism is official or whether it is unofficial...”

“A community rates low on the ‘Information’ scale when the press, radio, and other channels of communication are controlled by only a few people and when citizens have to accept what they are told.”

“See how a community trains its teachers”
“...these students are being taught to accept uncritically whatever they are told. Questions are not encouraged.”

“And if books and newspapers and the radio [and facebook and youtube and...] are officially controlled the people will read and accept exactly what the few in control want them to. Government censorship is one form of control. The newspaper that breaks the government censorship rule can be suspended. It is also possible for newspapers and other lines of communication to be controlled by private interests...”
