Two top Republican chairmen stressed Friday that the final report from special counsel Robert Mueller "must be trusted by Americans."
In closing out their joint committee investigation into decisions made by the Justice Department, Oversight Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., and Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., took a shot at their Democratic counterparts for playing up concerns that their probe was a campaign to undermine Mueller.
"Contrary to Democrat and media claims, there has been no effort to discredit the work of the Special Counsel," Gowdy and Goodlatte wrote in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, and the DOJ inspector general. "Quite the opposite, whatever product is produced by the Special Counsel must be trusted by Americans and that requires asking tough but fair questions about investigative techniques both employed and not employed.”
The two retiring Republicans said their committees "have assiduously avoided interfering with any ongoing criminal, counter-intelligence, administrative, or judicial reviews of conduct engaged in 2016 or 2017."
The joint endeavor began in October 2017, looking into decisions made by the DOJ related to FBI's investigation into Hillary Clinton's email server, inquiry into Russian interference and possible collusion by the Trump campaign, and alleged surveillance abuse and bias by federal agents.

I came to the same conclusion. The communists have infiltrated the Republican party in much the same way that they infiltrated the Catholic Church.
Anyone in a primary must be scrutinized and vetted to make sure they are not faux Republicans. Forget RINO, these are wolves in sheep’s clothing.

The chances of another revolution are very small. At least two generations of American children, if not three, since the 1960’s have been raised as socialists/communists on the propaganda they have been taught in our public schools and then college.
And the pacifiers of constant social media use and screens loaded with intentional anti-American messages furthers their ignorance and lethargy. This is the bread and circus of our times.
I know this sounds negative but the successful propaganda machines on the left are doing their damage. We must wake up the young as to the dangers of socialism before we can ever count on an actual revolution.
Many times I have said that Issa, Gowdy and Sessions were absolutely worthless and all their barking would go nowhere.

This should be the “nail in the coffin” for Gowdy fans. I have suspected for a long time that he was a shill for the Uniparty establishment.

They’re not “timid”. They’re supportive of the left, particularly the ones mentioned in this article. Been that way for many decades.
Mueller is dirty cop. DOJ is dirty. The FBI is dirty. SCOTUS corrupted. We are a third world country because our government is no longer; for the people, or by the people. Obama turned FedGov into a freestanding entity at war with the people it should be serving. Congress made that happen. The Media made that happen. Mueller never even gave an honest attempt at being non partisan, he hired haters from the DOJ, FBI, and Clinton donors and confidants to assist him. Mueller did this to cover for himself, his dirt ball friend Comey, his involvement in Uranium one, and cash in from the Clintons. BTW, Mueller wiped phones to cover up his employees behavior and he knew why they were dismissed, that’s obstruction of justice. Mueller is a criminal, who played cop for awhile, and now is just a dirty cover up boy for Obama and Clinton’s.
Because Muellar and the GOP have the same goal.
