Well, it depends. Here in Houston we have a HARD-CORE CONSERVATIVE on talk radio - and trust me, he’s ALWAYS been on our side, he doesn’t ‘qualify’ anything.
But the E-Verify came up, and he had BIG PROBLEMS with it.
While nothing is perfect, you take the steps available, and if E-Verify pings a number of false positives, then SO WHAT, you have them make the case that their legally here. No big deal.
There is no SINGLE SOLUTION. We can build a wall, but then the Central Americans simply turn themselves over at the border, (falsely) claiming to be ‘political’ refugees.
But our default position has to be VERY SIMPLE:
If you are here without ICE approval, it is UP TO YOU to make the case that you cannot safely go home...which is NEVER the situation, except for, maybe, the families of high-profile politicians who are trying to clean things up.

I hate to say this, but I blame Ronil. After everything that he knows about California’s insane approach to illegal immigration he still decided to be a law officer in that state? What law? There is no law in California. What he should have done is move immediately to a state that respects law enforcent and on sense laws. He didn’t. And unfortunately he paid with his life.
