One useful reform: government workers, as a group, should not make more than the average income, including fringe benefits, for private sector workers. Public “servants” should not make more than the taxpayers for whom they nominally work. Federal COLA’s should also be indexed to the growth (or decline) in the median income. If the left wants open borders and is ok with driving U.S. incomes down to international averages, government should not be exempt.
Democrats want the illegal immigrants as voters. There is nothing else behind their wanting open borders. It doesn’t matter to the democrats that people sneaking into the country illegally are breaking the law. They just want the voters.
