Zumwalt: In Syria, U.S. Abandons Three Musketeers Role with Israel, the Kurds
Breitbart News ^ | December 22, 2018 | James Zumwalt

Posted on 12/24/2018 4:25:26 AM PST by familyop

President Donald Trump’s announcement he will withdraw U.S. forces from Syria because the Islamic State (ISIS) has largely been defeated accomplishes two things — neither of which is positive. First, it undermines the security of two of our most stalwart Middle East allies, Israel and the Kurds. Second, it rewards our enemies, of which there are more than we openly acknowledge. Clearly, enemies list beneficiaries include the Iran/Syria/Russia alliance and ISIS...

Lt. Colonel James G. Zumwalt, USMC (Ret.), is a retired Marine infantry officer who served in the Vietnam war, the U.S. invasion of Panama and the first Gulf war...

California fires have been 100% arson set by military aircraft.

The trees are not getting burned; just the houses and cars.

Take a drive through Paradise! Very few trees have been burned.

Trees didn't burn since the fires in Paradise were low intensity. Some of the Camp fire was low intensity even outside of town as well:

But there was also high intensity fire, "east of Highway 70 near Yankee Hill, Calif."

That high intensity fire with a strong east wind created an ember storm over Paradise. Any of the structure fires there could have been put out easily, but there were too many of them all at the same time.

I don’t fool as easily as you do!

Our ranch is in the middle of the Stanislaus NF.

I’ve done ground burns in dense forest, and know how far up one has to clear the ladder wood.

The trees in Paradise don’t qualify! Too much low ladder for any kind of fire to have gone through on the ground.

Take a drive through Paradise and you’ll be very convinced.

The structures were ignited from the air. so were the cars. Ground fires rarely do significant damage to cars unless they are in dense brush.

The houses were ignited by embers from the wildfire upwind. Trees cannot, in general, be ignited by embers. Some trees burned because they were close to houses that burned. Cars were mainly ignired by flames. The burned cars that I saw were mostly near houses or flammable vegetation or other burning items.

Basically the town was hit by an ember storm from wildfire upwind which was driven by brush (ladder fuel) and fully burning trees. Was it possible that some locations were burned intentionally/? Anything is possible. It's not likely. It is likely that they had to let a lot of houses burn because there were far too many to put out. The firefighters were mainly doing rescue only at that point.

Nonsense!

Go look for yourself.

There’s even still brush on the ground next to houses that burned.

Houses burn very easily. There are plenty of trees left, as long as they were not next to houses. The contemoranous videos like this: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/california-wildfire-police-bodycam-video-camp-fire-paradise-a8661111.html show lots of wind and blowing embers. There are small fires everywhere. Most houses cannot survive ember storms, unless they have a class A roof, stucco, no burnable material around, no openings, etc.

Most of the town was quite open:: as you can see on google maps

If you think the whole town incluing all trees should have been burned flat, you are mistaken. There is no way an open town like that can burn flat, there simply is not enough fuel.

If you do have actual evidence of targetting of houses or cars, then present it. Show the video or the pictures so I can look at them.

The Turks are coming.....

About damn time, too.

It is the Arabs fate to be ruled. Of the candidates, I much prefer the Turks to the Persians or the Russians.

Johnny Turk did a fine job with restless and rebellious Arabs for 1000 years before Woodrow Wilson f***ed up the whole world, it's time for the Turks to get back to work slitting throats and taking women, at which they excel.

Hi.

Why are we in Afghanistan now? Nation building? No, you can’t bring a 7th century society into the 21st century.

It’s rare earth elements. Yes my friends, it’s money.

Why are we in Syria? Nation building? No, the attempted overthrow of Assad the lesser. Why? The pipelines to carry natural gas and oil over their territory.

Yes my friends, it’s money.

As many of you know (since 9/11), I would nuke both from orbit and be done with it.

Along with Mecca, Medina and Qom.

All along, it’s all been about isolating Iran and doing so while avoiding heavy intensity conflict and avoiding friendly casualties and civilian casualties as much as possible.

I’ve also disagreed with the tiptoeing around for political correctness to such extents—a reaction to soothe the feelings of allied leaders and their most influential and worldly constituents. Isolating Iran, though, requires making sure that enemy forces don’t build up in the countries of Iran’s allies, Afghanistan being one of them among Iraq, Syria and others.

So yeah, we’ve kept forces in those countries to keep them from building cohesive armies against us and to eventually isolate Iran and shut down its chances of eventually attacking us with any great force—something it’s threatened to do many times while building up. This is not obvious to most people who talk about politics but quite obvious to all national and military leaders on every side. Iran is the strongest nation of those mentioned and others.

I’ve disagreed with parts of the strategy—for one, waiting until the Russians get huffy before taking Iran down. A few years ago, the Russians said that they wouldn’t get in the way. Now, they say otherwise and are getting physically involved.

Oh, well. I’m guessing that we’ll see a large, high intensity conflict soon, a world war with all of the most powerful nations involved.

As for oil, enormous (and likely unimaginable) quantities of it are needed to finish a large war and avoid being invaded and occupied. That’s very important to every nation involved, too. So yes, as predicted by some strategists in the ‘90s, the fight is on over oil resources. There was a little of it happening before then but much more directly ahead.

Fascist and communist nations live to expand and take more wealth, populations and land. It’s in their culture. They do it incessantly. They perceive themselves to be unworthy and useless without it and inherently, genetically great when doing so.

Rare earth elements, energy resources and money, too. Yes. With more of those things, some nations will continue trying to be idealistic philanthropists for cultures that don’t want to change. Other nations will use those things to try to conquer and enslave the world in more brutal ways than most of us can imagine. But yes, there are greedy individuals involved as always, in every endeavor.

I’m a proponent of study of history in the western way—that is, without the eastern moral equivalence and conspiracy theories. I see vastly different cultures, patterns of thought and customs rather than perceiving a world that things as we do. Foreign propagandists take advantage of our flaw of assuming that they think just like us (that is, victors always write histories of lies, etc.), and they project their ways of thinking on us.

Many of my Baby Boom peers along with our younger Generation X follow and bow to that propaganda and those who disseminate it. I do take comfort in what’s coming after our time. The following is only one way that we’re seeing it.

Cal Fire has been actively preventing people from doing controled maintenance burns for decades.

They do not want to prevent wild fires, they demand them.

The houses were ignited by X-ray lasers from the air.

They use the laser to heat appliances inside the house, which then ignite the frames of the houses.

Yes, that is absolutely true. The only feasible way to prevent them is controlled burns and CalFire disallowed controlled burns at the beginning of June in the Camp Fire area in Butte county. But what is worse is that of more than a million acres, the county air quality board only allows 6,000 acres of controlled burn at any one time. There is no way enough controlled burns can be done in the few weeks when it is safe.

California create this extreme wildfire problem, it was not a natural occurance.

I have not read much about X-ray lasers. But there would be evidence of superheated plasma which would easily burn through rocks, etc. A melted aluminum engine or wheel is not that uncommon. But I have not seen any pictures of melted rock.
