Except that is usually the only way a Vice President becomes President. Historically, the Vice Presidency just is not the stepping stone to the Presidency that people seem to think it is.
In all of American history, only 4 sitting Vice Presidents have ever been elected President: Adams, Jefferson, Van Buren, and Bush. Nixon was the only other former Vice President to be elected President without first succeeding to the Presidency due to the death of his predecessor.
So either Hillary would have to have been banking on Obama's death, or banking on herself accomplishing a feat only one man has accomplished in the last 180 years.

I’m aware of that....but remember....we’ve had only one mulatto President and “0” women Presidents.
