American Thinker readers were warned about General Mattis over a year ago in this article. Briefly, Mattis was and remains a supporter of global warming.
The issue of global warming continues to be a reliable and simple litmus test. If someone believes in global warming, then you can be sure he is a globalist who loathes Western civilization. (SNIP)
Since that article, Mattis's charge sheet has expanded somewhat. Trump wanted to get trannies out of the military simply because of the costs involved in having them. Mattis pushed back and slow-walked the order. Gender dysphoria is one of the worst mental illnesses, with a 50 percent suicide rate. Who in his right mind would leave people suffering from this condition near weapons or machinery? Someone who ranks ideology above effectiveness and unit cohesion would.

That would be a good choice. The main complaint against him will be he has never run a large organization.
I agree. I just wish that Trump would sell it on that basis - he might even get a few democrats and libertarians to come along. Having been in the military during the Vietnam War, but also very conservative, I can say that is a message a lot will respond with. He must control the narrative though. The hawks have big business interests backing them. Time to think about America first.

From my perspective Trump hires people for a specific task/goal...Not giving a lot of credence to their views outside of that goal...In the case of Mattis, Trump wanted a mad dog to take on ISIS and wipe them out...Quick...Mattis was the man for the job...Now, that job is over...And so is Mattis...

I doubt he's trying to overthrow Western civilization or establish a global government.
His staff tells him climate change is a factor and he believes them.
Whatever the deal is with ideas of "global climate change", questions of local climate variations - desertification, water routes opening and closing, etc. - are going to be on the Pentagon's mind.
You can believe in global warming, BUT when you think that HUMANS CAN CONTROL IT, that means you do not have GOD in your life!!! The STUPID HUBRIS!!
