Mattis Was No Good
American Thinker ^ | 12/21/18 | David Archibald

Posted on 12/21/2018 7:45:21 AM PST by chiller

American Thinker readers were warned about General Mattis over a year ago in this article. Briefly, Mattis was and remains a supporter of global warming.

The issue of global warming continues to be a reliable and simple litmus test. If someone believes in global warming, then you can be sure he is a globalist who loathes Western civilization. (SNIP)

Since that article, Mattis's charge sheet has expanded somewhat. Trump wanted to get trannies out of the military simply because of the costs involved in having them. Mattis pushed back and slow-walked the order. Gender dysphoria is one of the worst mental illnesses, with a 50 percent suicide rate. Who in his right mind would leave people suffering from this condition near weapons or machinery? Someone who ranks ideology above effectiveness and unit cohesion would.

Politics aside, he is a patriot. And a decent man. And a legendary leader.

An Obama General and are real a loser.

I respect General Mattis military experience, background, and troop leadership, but not his politics. I could even call him a great man, but if he’s not on board with the President’s vision, it’s good he’s leaving. But the most telling thing to me, is that he was considering running for President in 2020. That tears it for me.

IMO that is a simplistic analysis. President Trump hires people not for a position but to accomplish a plan. Tillerson was the best man for bringing the Middle East to the table & giving POTUS credibility & entry. With that accomplished Tillerson’s negatives are no longer balanced by his potential to accomplish. New part of the plan new hire.

...it's never been clear to me why we are in Syria trying to help Al-Qaeda overthrow Assad.

Nor to me; Muslims killing Muslims is a good thing. it keeps them busy enough that fewer will be attacking US!

A lot of really greedy already rich people got even richer with all these wars since Iraq...and a lot of decent young men paid the ultimate price. I believe POTUS is sick of it.
He doesn’t want to see the US in this financial situation mostly due to winless wars and still having to call families to tell them their son is dead and FOR WHAT? So Lockheed can get richer?

POTUS has changed our other excuse for sending men to die - oil. The whole thing has been a horrible scam.

I think Israel will either protect itself or we’ll help one way or another. POTUS certainly won’t be abandoning them.

I was against Mattis from the start. He was a great warrior general in the Marine Corps but we don't need warrior generals as SECDEF. The warrior generals are the Regional Combatant Commanders around the world. (Read: CENTCOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, .....etc.) They do the fighting based on orders from POTUS (Read: CINC). The SECDEF just communicates orders. Planning and execution happens at the RCC level and they report directly to POTUS.

We need visionary as SECDEF. A long range planner. One that can coordinate and synchronize requirements with the budget process. One with plenty of business experience to work with the Service Secretaries and Congress. That is my thoughts anyway.

The end result to Western Civ is still the same whether its proponents are true believer haters or simply low IQ morons. Which is frankly an insult to low IQ morons.

Mattis believes in man-made global warming? Then he is an intellectual idiot. Good riddance.

What has always puzzled me is this: why did we fail to defoliate the poppy fields in Afghanistan and make it impossible for them to ever grow back?
/////////////////////

For the same reason we don’t close the southern border. Lots of untaxed cash in the world wide drug trade. Remember the tunnels and El Chapo? We couldn’t find the tunnels? We could find shale oil under water 3 miles underground with sonar but we couldn’t find some tunnels 10 feet under the border?
Just for yuks google Motley Crue “Dr. Feelgood” and listen to what the druggies already knew in the 80s.

The biggest clue that Mattis was no good:

Barky never fired him!

Add Mattis to the list of those that “they” told us were impeccable: Sullivan, Sessions, Comey, Mueller. And the list keeps growing.

He was a dud, with a penchant for saying overly dramatic things.

"Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet." General James Mattis, USMC

I believe that was one of Hillary's favorite quotes, as well. Mad Dog may have borrowed the quote from her. /sarc

Because our leadership, banks. courts and LEO's are in the drug business. There is too much money in the business that could not exist with out the help of those mentioned. It is always the money with these people because money buys power.

Very good article. This baord would have less buffoonery if people read the articles before responding. We used to just say to them, RTFA.

Go get a copy of Nature and see how Kool-Aid drunk they are on global warming. It is stone gospel to all of them. Plus most perfessers of everything.

The ones who object get persecuted. So much so that very, very few pipe up in disagreement.

A.B. Stoddard was stunningly blind last night... I finally muted the sound... She went way out into the ether... says she knows better than Repub politicos in the House and better than the voters, Trump is stupid and with Mattis leaving the world is coming to an end.

No more middle road moderate for A.B. 🙄
