Louie Gohmert spills the beans, says Paul Ryan urged GOP lawmakers to campaign AGAINST Trump

On the very same day that resigning House Speaker Paul Ryan delivered his farewell address on the floor of Congress, fellow House Rep. Louie Gohmert revealed what may perhaps be the real reason why his relatively young colleague’s career has come to an unexpected end.

“Just a few weeks before the [2016] election, we were told by Paul, by our elected leaders that, gee, the only way we can keep the House majority is just all of us start running against the president,” Gohmert claimed during an interview on radio station WMAL “The Larry O’Connor Show.”

“Fortunately, we had enough people one after another on the call that pushed back so hard they backed off of that,” he added during his discussion Wednesday with guest host Derek Hunter.

Gohmert disseminated the shocking revelation during a broader discussion on how congressional Republicans seem to always be hijacking President Donald Trump’s agenda.

***I like Louie, but he should have said this two years ago. Doing after Ryan leaves is cowardice***

It is the way power works in the House; cross the leadership and you get garbage committee assignments, you don't get recognized for various things, you don't get 'cake' for your district and you prob don't get re-elected.

It is the Swamp.

At least Ryan can now return to his home in H3ll. :-/

It was OBVIOUS to even this outsider that Ryan’s plan for the Convention was to REMOVE TRUMP from the Republican ticket - and put himself there instead.

Thankfully enough people understood that even if the Republicans found a way to resurrect Reagan and put him on the ticket, they would have been DEMOLISHED in November, and a LOT of House and Senate members would have been tossed out too.

Ryan has always been a snake and an asshole, so there’s no surprise here - other than it taking so long to come out.

For all their leftism, I must wonder if Trump is better off with the GOP no longer controlling the House. With loons like Maxine Waters and Jerry Nadler in charge of committees, dipwads like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez spouting nonsense, and all headed by Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats will fail to be effective. They are the known, open enemy, less treacherous than the enemy within, such as Flake or Ryan.

He takes it upon himself to decide this... over riding the voters who put Trump in as President. Ryan has been a thorn in all this for way too long. He overestimated himself and he spoke out of both sides of his empty head.

And Ryan made sure that he embedded his boyhood friend, Reince Priebus, in to Trump’s inner circle. Was it for spying purposes, sabotage, or both?

Snake.

By losing the House we will at best have stalemate for 2 years.

That 2 years lost, 2 years no progress undoing the mess we have. Its 2 years lost, 2 years being further behind, because the decay will continue even if the politics are stalemated.

I am not one of these people who believe you win much by losing!

Precious little was accomplished under Ryan's leadership, save the tax cuts. Planned Parenthood and PBS remain funded by the taxpayers, the border wall is unbuilt, and Obamacare was not repealed. How did we benefit from having a GOP led House of Representatives?

Ryan is totally owned by the Koch Brothers who make their money by illegal immigration. Good riddance to the blood-sucking GOPee vampire.

Anyone with two working brain cells who paid attention to Paul Ryan knows that he was and is a despicable two-faced lying backstabber.

With “Republicans” like Paul Ryan and Jeff Flake, who needs Democrats?

"Louie Gohmert should have revealed this juicy tidbit at the moment it happened and not wait until RINO Ryan is on his way out the door."

Don't get between Louis and a talk radio show mic, but he chose to sit on this?

“Probably not one person in 1000 in DC wants Trump to succeed.”

In my opinion, if you work for the government, in any capacity, you should lose your right to vote during the time you work for government. If you work for government you are conflicted. Not only should you not get to vote, but you should be 100% precluded from campaigning, contributing to campaigns, or having anything to do with the electoral process - on penalty of loss of your job, immediately, with no recourse. The only exception should be the military - who put their lives on the line to protect our right to vote and live in freedom, and thus should have every right to be fully represented in the electoral process.

We’ve created a swamp of self-perpetuating bureaucrats and government workers who have a huge conflict of interest that should always preclude them from contributing in any way to the electoral process.

Ryan the Traitor is the reason President Trump’s MAGA policies were either not passed, or passed with too many other (sinking rock) provisions.

Now, Keven McCarthy is the top dog Repub in the House. Yippeee!! He’s just another Lyin Ryan. Not to be trusted.
