The judge was giving all the signs that he was going to sentence Flynn to prison time. Gave him a chance to postpone to maximize his cooperation.

Heard Catherine Herridge of Fox say Judge Sullivan made this statement at the start of today’s proceedings: “I can’t think of a day when the court has accepted a guilty plea from someone who isn’t guilty and that will not start today.” That was clearly directed at Mueller and his band of Democrat partisans. Sullivan’s repeatedly offered Flynn a chance to change his plea, looking for an opportunity to re-open the entire matter.
Unfortunately, Flynn still faces jeopardy from his work for the Turkish government and is willing to accept punishment for a process crime, and avoid more serious charges relating to Turkey.
Sullivan has still left the door open for Flynn. He could have easily sentenced General Flynn today, after the defendant affirmed his guilt and refused to say the FBI used unfair tactics against him. But even with those statements—and his rant about Flynn “selling out” his country—Sullivan decides to delay sentencing. More than a few federal judges would have passed sentence today, but Sullivan is clearly waiting for something, and he readily agreed to the request from Flynn’s legal team to postpone sentencing. That is not good news for Mueller.
How would you do it differently, seriously?
It’s easy to criticize Rush, but he’s there, day after day, defending President Trump. He keeps my spirits up.
The Judge’s own misspeak would be perjury, guilty of unindicted impeachment, a no knock raid on his home, and loss of all the Judge’s assets.
I agree. Unfortunately, Mueller could see this coming and whatever he threatened to do to Flynn and/or his family scared the **** out of him.
Flynn saves face
his statement will be

I was facing a rotten prosecutor and a
weak or naïve judge.
I accepted a bad deal, because the alternative
was a greater injustice.
Maybe we forgot the Deep State and deep pockets can buy information and threaten Judge Sullivan, too...
Don’t lose faith.
They have little on Flynn.
Wheres the real 302?
If the account of the proceedings I heard on the radio just now are true, this judge is a certifiable nutcase.
Taking apart the unnecessary bloviating at Gen. FLynn today by Judge Emmett Sullivan-— blistering and also saying he lowered the respect for the Court, and got. it. wrong. And had spent exactly 3 days on Flynn’s case. Particularly the “just got in town” question of the prosecutor about the basis for “interviewing” Flynn in the first place— namely like it was new news that it was Yates et al that decided it would be the “Logan Act” that has never been successfully prosecuted— his quote.
No, not a traitor— Turkey is part of NATO and thus— an ally. It would be Flynn working for the Turks and not registering as a foreign agent. This is the EXACT same thing the Podesta Brothers.... and their paid partner, Mr. Manafort— were doing in regards to the Ukraine (the Russian side of the Ukraine civil war).
Just to clarify. The judge doesn’t know the Law in re: Treason— so additionally re-assuring. He’s mostly clueless— spent 3 days on Flynn’s case— which was handed to him... because the FISA Judge that granted the warrant for tapping him and other-— Judge Contreras— had been assigned Flynn’s CASE!!, and had to recuse himself (amazing that even happened). Kangaroo Court.
Judge to Flynn: In all my years on the bench Ive never accepted a guilty plea from someone who wasnt guilty. You take three months to go figure this out/think this over." (As I said --- I paraphrase)
I think this is about exactly what a caller reported was said at that sentencing.

(Vanity) A Different Report on Michael Flynn Sentencing
Far from it.
Judge Sullivan is all but begging Flynn to retract his guilty plea and claim prosecutorial abuse and intimidation
Flynn refuses to amend his guilty plea or cross Mueller.
Judge Sullivan has even warned Flynn that he views the offenses Flynn has plead guilty to to be very serious offenses which could warrant jail time and a destruction of Flynns career.
Lets look at this from the judges position. He is certain that The FBI, DOJ and helped have framed Gen Flynn and are Maliciously prosecuting Flynn.
Plea agreements often allow guilty people to plead to lesser charges to avoid prosecution on much more serious charges that have been waived y the prosecution, usually in return for cooperation in the prosecution of higher level offenders
For reasons unknown, Flynn is flat refusing to walk away from his plea agreement with Muellers team and claim he was wrongfully prosecuted by Mueller. This is problematic because Flynn and his legal team are giving Judge Sullivan the indications that he is a cooperating witness with the Mueller investigation who may have committed very serious offenses that are being withheld or being kept secret for any one of a number of reasons
What Sullivan does not know is what else Mueller has on Flynn and how Flynn is interacting with the Mueller investigation so he is being very cautious and he is giving Flynn time to resolve the conflict
Something very strange is going on with the Flynn case
What people?
.
I cautioned everyone who got all excited about this being such a “fair” judge. He’s a Clinton appointee, and the Stephens scenario was totally different. He didn’t have a dog in that fight.
Well said. The judge wants to preserve his image as a straight shooter, while the fix is firmly in.
Also, I’d like to put out there that nobody is mentioning.
Flynn is/ was a target from the get go. Maybe he lied maybe not, it doesn’t seem like he did. However, the players at the FBI/ DOJ including Obama decided to take him out way before this FBI interview as part of the “insurance” plan.
They were hoping to tie him to the Russian Collusion narrative and if not they knew that Flynn could protect POTUS and fight against the collusion narrative.
And it worked, which is why I think Comey has been so arrogant.
