A mother and five other adults have been arrested after they repeatedly beat and threw scalding water on a 3-year-old boy in order to punish him at the Newark home they share, prosecutors said. .
Police said a Newark public preschool alerted authorities to the abuse.
Prosecutors said the abuse, which began in July, was a “systematic and coordinated beating” of the child with a belt and their fists. They also poured scalding water on him to punish him, authorities said.
The child, hospitalized in order to treat his injuries, has been released from the hospital and is in protective custody, Newark police said.
Smith and Searcy have some sort of relationship, but he is not the child’s father.

The children would be better off as orphans than to be raised by these sub-humans.
I’d do it, no charge.
There is no rehabilitation for sub humans like this. Throw scalding hot water on them and then off to Rikers until found guilty. Then immediate execution.

Dear Heavenly Father, I offer this prayer on behalf of this child that did not deserve to be terrorized by these people that sought to do evil and mistreat your child, a child of God, a precious gift.
Please, Father, help this child to recover and forgot the horrors carried out against this child and I pray that you intervene and find this child a home filled with love and compassion for the rest of this child’s days.
