Nancy Pelosi said on Thursday that a House committee will “take the first steps” toward obtaining President Trump’s tax returns once Democrats take control of the House.
Pelosi, who is expected to become the Democrats’ next speaker of the House, said the process could be “challenging” as Trump has vowed to resist their requests.
“There is popular demand for the Congress to request the president’s tax returns,” Pelosi told reporters.
“I’m sure the White House will resist, so the question is, ‘Where do we go from there?’”

I listened to her whole spiel today (you can hear it on C-Span). She was incoherent, mostly babbling. Someone else is going to make the call and that’s probably going to be ways and means: Richard Neal. Neal (semi-loony dem from Mass) says he is going to ask for the returns and hopes Trump will give them up voluntarily. My early guess (just a guess) is that Neal won’t subpoena the returns or anything like that.
2019 will be worse than many here on FR want to admit......not hopeful at all for Trump(maybe even Pence) to even be POTUS come 2020 election cycle...

I loved the thread asking for: NANCY PELOSI’S TAX RETURNS.
Shouldn't he and the Dems at least come up with some important reason, like it's a threat to the Union, or the world will come to an end if they don't get to see his tax returns? I mean, just wanting to see them isn't going to hold water in a court of law.
