All she knows how to do is double down....
Junker crawled out of his primo champagne bottle long enough to mumble that an extension ain’t happening.
FWIW :-)
Wow. AFAIK, there is no language in the treaty to do that. What the heck...
What did I miss? Sure looks like they have a drop dead date to me...
Here’s a link to the article on the court ruling:

I think basically the EU is trying to meddle in domestic UK affairs. They are saying we won’t extend, we won’t renegotiate but we will allow you to cancel the article 50 leave declaration.
This is why IMO, they need to have the no confidence vote defeated but by a narrow margin where she resigns and the Torries get an interim prime minister who is a true Brexiter. One that can go back to Brussels and renegotiate where they know that the UK is serious. If May goes back, they won’t budge because they feel they have her over a barrel.
Thanks for the link! But after reading it, the original treaty, and the treaty that amended it, I just think that the UK court is talking out its arse. There’s nothing in the language of either of those two treaties that allows for what the UK court ruled. FWIW. :-)
May today, Macron tomorrow ... so much WINNING!!!!!
Voting underway, should be done by about 3:00pm EST.
Per Sky News, the voting is done and should not take long to count.
Just an aside, there were more than the 157 needed who came out publicly saying they would vote down the no confidence measure and keep May. However, it’s a secret ballot so people can say anything in public and never be found out how they voted.
[ Why dont you tell us how you really feel Lol ]
I’m holding back, If I told you how I really feel I would be kicked off for posting obscenity!
Any update on the vote ?
It’s because there’s nothing in the treaties that either permits or forbids a unilateral withdrawal of Article 50 once invoked that the European Court of Justice (not a UK court) was asked for ruling. It’s the ECJ’s job to rule on matters of EU constitutional law. In its submission to the court, the EU Commission argued that Article 50 could only be un-invoked if each of the other 26 member states agreed. The ECJ rejected that argument. Their ruling actually strengthens the position of member states vis-a-vis the Commission.
England and France. And they say we Americans are nuts.
Results should be announced at about 4:00pm EST
Just in, shes won the vote of no confidence. No word on the vote count yet.
There is London and there is the rest of the U.K.
Now watch over the next 3 years the U.K. slowly descend into a physical revolution.
