Trump Trolls UN Climate Summit With Event Promoting Oil, Coal
The New American ^ | Monday, 10 December 2018 | Alex Newman

KATOWICE, POLAND — The Trump administration held an event at the United Nations “COP 24” climate summit to promote the continued use of fossil fuels such as coal and oil, and particularly American innovation and energy exports. Obviously, the panel discussion by U.S. officials and the subject itself sparked outrage among man-made global-warming theorists at the UN seeking to restrict access humanity's access to cheap and reliable electricity, many of whom held a loud protest inside the venue during the event. But the message from the U.S. government came through loud and clear: So-called fossil fuels are here to stay, and will remain an important source of energy for the world long into the future.

Among other points, the side-event hosted by the Trump administration celebrated America's ongoing expansion of energy production — especially liquefied national gas. U.S. Assistant Secretary for Fossil Energy Steven Winberg, one of the U.S. officials on the panel, noted that “fossil fuels” would continue to be a crucial source of energy for the indefinite future, and that America was becoming a leader in the field of using these forms of energy in a “clean” and “efficient” way. In particular, he promoted U.S. exports of liquefied national gas (lng). U.S. officials also promoted nuclear energy, which many climate alarmists hate as well.

The promotion of these fuels at the UN “climate” event sparked outrage for days in advance among those whose livelihoods depend on the anti-CO2 narrative. And once the event began, protesters and “climate” activists did everything possible to disrupt it.

Atmospheric CO2 is a fertilizer - promotes the Greening of Planet Erf.

Sun Spot numbers are WAY low, decreasing, and not likely to return for years, at best.

I wonder if these slime bag theorists know where the sun don’t shine?

“Rucker noted that at a recent UN climate summit, he had been kicked out merely for putting up a life-size Trump figure and shredding the UN climate agreement in the media section.”

Mr. Newman actually seems to believe that LNG is liquified national gas. He writes this more than once in his article.

I have been watching the Series MARS on National Geographic Channel.

In between the storyline of People living and working on Mars, they have segments with whiny Climate Change Oil Industry haters.

One Woman went on and on about Fossil Fuels hurting Humanity (or something). What a Maroon.

Without Oil and Gas modern Life would be impossible. Of course, no mention of Nuclear Power.

Oh yeah. Best President Ever. LOL

I chanced upon the Mars series for the first time today. Switched it off after ten minutes. Something about getting help from the Chinese because they were the sole source of a drug. Yay, Chinese are heroes! Whatever.

Anyway, those fossil fuels enable Earthlings to make fertilizer in order to grow food to feed billions of people. As well as thousands of other products for people, including the ability to reach Outer Space (including Mars). Fossil fuels helped Humanity a very great deal. Any other reporting is fake news! And by the way, why won't those global warmers go after China, which burns far more coal than anyone else (their cities are choked by smog)? Hypocrisy much!

There are even segments with Newt Gingrich on that show.

I got the impression that his comments were not directly related to the agenda they were pushing, but they seemed to edit him in so it looked like he was reinforcing the garbage they are selling.

Yes, I still remember him sitting with Nancy Pelosi on the Loveseat.
