Same story yesterday but had picture of ‘armored’ vehicle - declared antique/obsolete by some here who know military vehicles. Not much of a military in any case.
Using E.U. or U.N. against ones citizens is a sure fire way to turn everyone against ones gub mint.
I didn’t see the EU flag.

So what? Vehicle is going against unarmed citizens - not going into a battle against modern armor division. I didn't notice any RPGs or LAWs in the hands of the protesters. Getting killed by an obsolete armored vehicle leaves you just as dead is if you were killed by a modern one.
I noticed one vehicle with a scoop on the front (not EU, though).

Against another military, they would be ineffective. Against unarmed civilians, they are formidable.

Its a misleading article. The French Government routinely pairs the EU flag with the French flag. The EU flag is on one side of the vehicle, the French Flag on the other.
The vehicles I saw in Paris last year (even without riots, the Gendarmarie (paramilitary national police) and Army were very visible) had the flags on opposite sides. Everywhere there is a French flag, they fly the EU flag as well.
If the Daily Star bothered to examine their photographs or do basic research, they would see the armoured cars were clearly marked as “Gendarmerie” with French military license plates. Which differ from regular French plates by the absence of the EU logo and “F” country code.
The EU is a toxic influence on representative governance in Europe, but this article is misleading and wrong.
Obsolete or not, it doesn’t bode well for the people of Europe. I wonder, was it Macron who asked the EU “Army” to intercede, or did Juncker do it on his own initiative?
It is a gradual process. Today, an armoured vehicle. Tomorrow, tanks.

Daily Mail has video of a mock guillotine labeled En Marche, (the ruling political party) erected somewhere unnamed in France. A large guy in some sort of white robe, with a headpiece that looked quite pagan, was dancing to a couple of drummers. They staged a mock decapitation of Macron Among the onlookers was a woman with bright pink hair. Everyone was young. Not all were Caucasian. The mood seemed relaxed and festive.
I’d conclude France has lost the enviropagans.
Look again, both sides have the EU flag and no French flag anywhere on it.
