This is how ice ages begin.
Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam today declared a state of emergency ahead of the upcoming storm, which has brought snow and freezing rain across the southern United States.
Heavy and accumulating snow is expected in southern Virginia through Monday, the National Weather Service warned. Downed trees and limbs may create significant power outages or cause additional travel hazards.
On Friday, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper declared a state of emergency for all 100 of the states counties.
Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin also declared a state of emergency ahead of the storm for all 77 of the states counties. More than 10 inches of snow accumulated in Oklahoma.

” Downed trees and limbs may create significant power outages “ Here’s a chance for Solar and Wind power to flex their muscles and shoulder the load.

I’m 73 years old and I’m beginning to notice a climate change pattern. It gets cold in the winter and hot in the summer. We call it the ‘algore effect.’
Thankfully I live in the Rocky Mountains of northern CO where the sun shines almost every day and there’s no snow forecast for at least the next ten days.

73?
Man we are getting on in years.... me too....
Global climate warming change.
Yep, no fair starting up that gasoline generator, just get to work setting up those $5,000 solar panels.
.
A couple of weeks ago we got 13.8 inches in a single snowfall here in eastern Iowa. Snowiest November in the record books.
I guess you’re getting my share of the new ice age. Thanks! ;^)
Aight so let me take this occasion to tell ya something.
You have been an integral part of my life. Yer stubborn, cantankerous, ornery, tough-as-nails.
And I love the Freep outta ya. Wouldn’t have you any other way. You’ve supported my morale when things got very tough, like in the Obama years.
We are both getting closer to checkout time. I remain undisturbed, though, because Political tides rise and fall. Yes, America will SOMEday die, but the IDEA of America will never die. It may be on Mars, or the Asteroid Belt, but freedom and the desire for it will never perish.
We’ve had a damned good run, all of us, you and I included. We can be proud of what we’ve done. We will face God, sooner than we think I’m sure, and He will tell us....
JOB WELL DONE.
Excellent!
Baby its cold outside...
Any time now, Alabama and Mississippi are going to be invaded by the fools from the north fleeing the cold and ice. How about a fence starting at the northern border of Tennessee, running to.............
Im 75 and getting that same vibe.
L O L !
