Maduro and his social elites will continue to line their pockets with 50% of the gold, at this point Venezuela’s remaining economic seed corn. Once the seed corn is all gone then the end game comes, which is the elites will begin to evacuate the country and access their Swiss bank accounts. Maduro will be on hand a bit longer, but with his immediate family he will ultimately board the palace helicopter to some foreign country and live off of the billions he looted from the peasants he proclaimed to love so dearly.

If I were The Crown, I would allow them to keep selling it out of the London vaults, but not repatriate. In fact, if I were the Special Relationship, I would encourage select G8 members to simply buy Venez out, and then Maduro is f'd. No gold, no fun.
