The climate change pit of despair

Everywhere you turn, you are bombarded with concerns about climate change. Whether the weather is sunny, windy, hot, cold, dry, wet, blizzard-y, hurricane-y, or somewhere in between, “climate change” is the default reason for the season.

And climate change, we are told, is all our fault. Humans – especially the wasteful humans living in Western nations – are solely to blame for anything and everything weather-related. Never mind geologic history depicting changes through time. It’s always our fault.

In 2017, the World Economic Forum took its annual Global Shapers Survey of 31,000 18-to-35-year-olds from 186 countries on key issue, and concerns about climate change were hands-down the winning worry, with 90 percent of young people agreeing humans are responsible.

The younger generations are fed a constant and never-ending diet of propaganda about climate change, from kindergarten through graduate school. “It’s pretty terrifying to realize that we are ‘the first generation that knows we are destroying the world, and could be the last that can do anything about it,’ as the WWF puts it,” notes an article on Mashable. “However daunting it is, when it comes to thinking about climate change as a whole, being overwhelmed and shutting down makes zero sense, because individual acts can make a huge difference.”

Nah, this was long after aluminum wire was phased out.

“However, we don’t need to live in a perpetual state of fear, of remorse over what we’re doing.“

But, that fear mongering is a proven, successful tool for power-hungry pols. And we have a proggie media that is inbred with politicians and pushing fears like there’s no (Day After) tomorrow. And we have highly emotion-based voters since A19.

Unless and until we gain power in our media, we’re inaudible.

“It’s pretty terrifying to realize that we are ‘the first generation that knows we are destroying the world, and could be the last that can do anything about it,’

Thus is summarized the reason for so many suicides of the young. These pitiful souls have no ties to Jesus, the Savior of the world, and wallow in the tar pit of the secular religion of Science. They hear this nihilistic tripe from pre-K to graduate school, and sadly, they believe it. All of them could live a full and happy life in this world had they refused to fall for the doctrines of this bleak cult, propagated by the American education system that has failed to teach anything else with such vigor.

And the brutally cold winter of 1976-1977 was “proof” we were entering a new Ice Age.

I believe expansion differential of aluminum and steel screws caused a return to copper. I lived in an aluminum wired house back in 1973 and there were lots of electrical problems due to this.

Local building codes were changed to require a “pigtail” on aluminum wire, to copper pigtail, to steel screws because of this.

Agree.

With all the Godless ‘end of the world’ teachings, movies and prophecies our Xers and millenials have had put in their minds, is it any wonder they’re so often apathetic, fatalistic, suicidal?

That could be. Just armchair quarterbacking.

Dissimilar metals can be problematic and cause corrosion and a destruction of the connector. Not only does it break down but it becomes resistive which means heat. Heat can accelerate the process. Heat can lead to fire.

Before long, the young will be to the point of doing away with those that deny and continue to “kill” the planet. And when we’re all gone, and I mean ALL, the planet will continue to orbit the sun as if we were never even here. Yeah, we’re that unimportant.

Actually this is not the first generation to be brainwashed by a totalitarian government into committing mass suicide. Shutting down heat generating capabilities as you swing back into an ice age, is about as suicidal as a civilization could become. Unless of course thet were also stupid enough to build nuke plants near fault lines. That destroys civilizations every single time.

My parents bought a newly constructed house in the early 1960s.

They kept finding problems with outlets not working. Turned out that the electrician had taken on a new apprentice for that subdivision, and the kid didn't know enough to strip the end before screwing it down.

Very true. I'm sorry I didn't think of that...

And, on rework, they didn't get all the outlets, so naturally, my father would go to use an outlet for something, and he'd either have to fix it, or run an extension, depending on the immediate need.

“However, we don’t need to live in a perpetual state of fear, of remorse over what we’re doing.”

The fear is simply a means to power.

Check out “State of Fear” by Crichton.
