President Trump confirmed he will nominate former attorney general William P. Barr to lead the Justice Department again, telling reporters Friday that Barr was “my first choice since day one.”

He also said he would nominate Heather Nauert as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, saying the State Department spokeswoman, a relative novice on foreign policy, is “very talented, very smart, very quick.”

The President is hoping that he gets a quick confirmation by nominating a Deep Stater.

Umm...Bill Barr? Daddy Bush’s drug war fanatic?

The dude who majored in Chinese studies for his MA?

Yup. He’s gonna be a REEEEL asset in going after massive Chinese trade crime and reining in illegal immigration.

Yeah. Right. The AG from the Bush 41 administration who oversaw the sellout of the US to the ChiCom filth.

Looks like DJT was blackmailed by the In Crowd into taking on another of their operatives; Sessions didn’t pan out and Trump got hip to the game.

Trump is no dummy. Barr is better than you think, otherwise Trump wouldn’t do it.

“Old school GOP lawyer with no particular loyalty to the president “
Great, this is just what we need. Looks like a Bushite swamp creature to me. 68 years old and definitely not in the business of making waves. The coup continues, Hillary needn’t have any concerns, the Awans are safe and Barry can continue to feather his nest while undermining America. Sickening turn of events but totally expected. Trump has been so successful defending himself and us twittering he obviously feels there’s no reason to insist upon equal justice before the law.

... his last pick was Jeff Sessions. How’d that work out for us?

He made a bad error. Trump never seems to learn that behind all those smiling faces
are far more dangerous enemies than any
Democrat.
Barry will be bad news. A lot of this crap in government agencies started under the idiot Bushes.

Trump seems to keep hoping that he can reach an accommodation with these snakes
if he makes an effort to include them.

based on the comments above, FR has become a total cesspool of ignorance, full of ignorant knee-jerk comments from ignorant people ... i don’t think anyone attacking this guy has a sound basis for their attacks, you know, things like analyzing past performance as AG, past comments, etc. ... all they know is that this guy was AG for a Bush, so therefore regardless of anything else he must automatically be really, really bad ...

Looks like you should have ran for POTUS since you seem smarter than Trump and seem to have all the answers.

2 years ago I would have agreed with you. Now, having watched one disastrous nomination after another crash and burn (howsabout McMaster? Tillerson? Sessions?) my approach is pessimistic until proven otherwise. He’s brought in the wrong person time after time and no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt. Even Whitaker, who was supposed to be such a bulldog, has done absolutely nothing. Zip.

Barr looks like just another concession to the Deep State and will be more concerned about protecting a corrupt DoJ than cleaning it out. Notice that the democrats and the media are not screaming in outrage? That’s a sure give away that this is another sellout.
