Newly-Elected DA Vows To Stop Prosecuting Resisting Arrest And 15 Other Crimes

Boston, MA – When Suffolk County’s district attorney-elect Rachel Rollins takes over the prosecutor’s office in January, criminals will no longer need to worry about being held accountable for many offenses – including resisting arrest.

“It’s a recipe for disaster,” veteran Boston defense attorney, Robert Griffin, told the Boston Globe.

“The problem is the message that you’re sending,” Griffin stressed. “You’re encouraging bad behavior. You’re telling people that we’re not going to do anything about this.”

Rollins, 47, has been widely hailed – and widely criticized – for her well-publicized “Charges to be Declined” list, which she has featured on her campaign webpage.

With rare exception, offenses of shoplifting, trespass, threats, and larceny under $250 will no longer be prosecuted, as well as disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, and “minor driving offenses,” according to the list.

Breaking and entering will not be prosecuted, as long as the perpetrator makes sure the property is vacant. Alternatively, those who commit break-ins of occupied homes because they are cold or tired, but don’t damage anything, will also be in the clear.

Offenders won’t have to worry about going to court over receiving stolen property or underage drinking, and won't be held accountable for wanton or malicious destruction of property, either.

Making threats will also be permitted, with the exception of those related to domestic violence.

Drug possession will no longer be prosecuted in Suffolk County – even in cases where the suspect is a drug dealer.

Cases where an offender is charged with resisting arrest and nothing else will also be turned away, as well as any instances where the person resists arrest while being charged with another offense on Rollins’ “Charges to be Declined” list.

This creature is also hiring a former gang member to “vet” the prosecutors. Is she now making her own laws? The idiots that voted her in have no idea what they have created by electing another quota hire. When Boston elects its first “minoritee” mayor, it will be all over. Another East Coast bleephole city....

Ironic but understandable that complaints are coming from defense attorneys; she’s reducing their business.

She gives off a distinctive bull dyke vibe and after doing a search on her found she’s never been married or has kids of her own... so, yeah, probably. Either she’s is/was a drug dealer or doesn’t care about her nieces and nephews od-ing. She also doesn’t care if the neighborhood rushes every business in the city stealing $249 at a time resulting in deaths and bankrupt businesses.

Right-AND they are going to NEED some money to pay ‘killed/injured - on duty’ expenses for the REMAINING officers.

Real good choice there

So what does Boston *need* a DA for? Has violent crime risen so much that they've got their hands full? And this dizzy broad thinks that enabling illegal behavior is going to cut into violent crime and not give it a whisky-and-car-keys boost to it? Looks like another #metoo success story -- domestic violence charges (against men, and only against men) are going to skyrocket, and she'll join every DA conspiracy malicious prosecution against Trump that arises in the country.

(But it will be marketed as a 'success' by the PMS)

Why bother prosecuting anything ? She can declare all of Boston/Suffolk to be law-free and go home.

Now hold on just a second, kids.

The opposite of Freedom is Law. Start with pure, unbridled Freedom and every limitation on that wild and crazy time comes in the form of a Law.

Most laws are approved and supported by the majority of citizens. Folks don’t want drunken rowdies shooting their guns on Main Street, which is at least four violations of common law that I can see.

But at what point do we have too many laws? At what point can the “elites” lock you up and think up an offense on the drive to the police station?

Doing away with “Resisting Arrest” is fine by me. Let the cop allege Assault & Battery, if he can prove it. But an arrest for Resisting just because you demand a friggin explanation before surrendering is bullshit. We’re being treated like cattle who deserve a beating if they don’t comply meekly and instantly, and that too is bullshit.

Grow a spine, Americans. We have hard times ahead.

.
Robert Griffin is worried about his future income from defending foolish charges.

Everyone has a duty to resist an unjust arrest.

The burden for this one needs to be on the arresting officer, but some cases should be prosecuted.
