Revolution: A French newspaper is reporting that the so-called “yellow jacket” demonstrators who have staged violent protests in Paris and around the country in opposition to the government’s imposition of massive fuel taxes related to climate accords could be preparing for a coup attempt on Saturday.
As such, French authorities plan to deploy 8,000 police in Paris alone with another 80,000-plus riot police and gendarmes around the country, various reports have said.
French intelligence services have reported to the Elysee Palace, the official residence of President Emannuel Macron, following “calls to kill” and “carry arms to attack” government officials, parliamentarians and police, according to Le Figaro.

If the French army mutinies and stands with the people, all bets are off. Or then it’s civil war between the army and the goons of the special riot squads.
As for the disarmed citizenry, well...when the Allies marched into Paris in 1944, all kinds of small arms appeared in private hands even after four years of Nazi occupation. Who knows what could turn up now?
Might even be some settling of accounts between Frenchmen and Muslim invaders.

If/when Macron becomes unemployed, the missus could go back to teaching... or maybe not.
France could fall yet the Brits will be enslaved to the EU anyway, thanks to the perfidy and duplicity of Teresa May.
No doubt “Asian youth” are largely responsible for the calls to violence.
If that clash must happen, and I believe it eventually will, I'd say that now's the time, while the french have numbers mustered.

When the rioters are “Asian” “youths” the French police let them burn cars for weeks before bringing out the riot control.
It is interesting that the Muslim population seems to have no involvement in the ongoing protests. Perhaps the tax does not impact on many of them in the same way it does the Yellow Vests. Or, are they simply waiting for total chaos to take political advantage of the situation? The Yellow Vests may want to watch their backs.

I worry that Macron is going to use the pretext of a coup to start killing protesters.
This is why Paris has very wide boulevards. Before Napoleon 3rd and Haussmann, Parisians created choke points and blocked off streets to police.
Unless the military and a lot of the police side with the protesters it's going to just be more of the same except possibly on a larger scale.
