A top White House appointee at the Department of Veterans Affairs sought to silence the agency’s chief diversity officer, who — in the aftermath of last year’s racially charged violence in Charlottesville — pushed for a forceful condemnation that was at odds with President Trump’s response, newly disclosed emails show.
The tense exchange between Georgia Coffey, a nationally recognized expert in workplace diversity and race relations, and John Ullyot, who remains VA’s chief communications official, occurred during a low point in Trump’s presidency: when he blamed “many sides” for the deadly clash in Charlottesville without singling out the white nationalists and neo-Nazis who rallied there.
One woman was killed and dozens were injured in the August 2017 protest, which began over the city’s plan to remove a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee from a local park and ended when a car plowed into a crowd of anti-racism protesters.

First, having a "diversity officer" in every single government agency never mind at every major location (I suspect this is likely) is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. And people wonder why we are going broke as a nation. This person is probably being paid $200K a year, minimum, along with a slew of lesser "diversity officers" within the VA and every other agent. It is like the Soviet Union with their political commissars.

To me, it makes no difference what this "diversity officer" did or didn't think and has nothing to do with any state or involvement of "white nationalists" whatever the media thinks that means. What a load of horse crap.

On a related note, our universities are also eaten up with this nonsense. It’s a measurable part of why college educations are so expensive, and our young people often start real life in a deep debt hole.

What does it have to do with the Department of Veterans Affairs? There seems to be no reason for anyone from that department to make any sort of statement about it.

Well. I guess 27 people in the Veterans Administration taking up three million dollars that could be spent on patients is just chump change, and even though it doesn't add a single damn thing to contribute to patient care, at least it gives 27 people full time jobs they can't be fired from.
Multiply that by every other large government agency, add in some positions for small ones, and no sane or thinking person needs to wonder why our national debt is 21 TRILLION dollars and climbing.
