They had two years to defund Planned Parenthood, and they failed, said Kristan Hawkins, president of the anti-abortion group Students for Life of America. Its a huge frustration. We worked so hard to elect supposedly these pro-life Republican officials, and we expected results.
As disappointing as this might be, it comes down to basic math, and Democrats had it on their side. The House has passed defunding language on a number of occasions, but the filibuster rules in the Senate require 60 votes for any appropriation bill. Not only couldnt Republicans find nine Democrats to vote to strip Planned Parenthood of eligibility for Title X programs funds, they couldnt get two of their own caucus to go along Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski. Thats not going to change in the lame-duck session, so Republicans in the House probably want to focus on the possible for their final few weeks in the majority.

The waste of time party....
If they wanted it defunded they could’ve figured out a way to do it, period.
PRyno and Ditch have been pretty useless, in general.
That’s why it’s the GOPee.
Gutless collaborationist pukes.
That’s a bit self-contradictory. They aren’t collaborating out of fear, but out of shared ideology.
They wanted it funded. And figured out many ways to do it.
Welcome to reality Kristan. The GOP campaigns on very conservative issues and immediately forgets them after the election. Google Obamacare. Google Wall. Google Fair Tax.
More like pulling up a chair to the table. They will be judged.
Well. At least they fought the good fight. Oh, wait....
When you aid the enemy, you’re a collaborator.
Your motivation is immaterial.
Purporting to stand on the side of ‘the good’ yet refusing to confront ‘the evil’ is a gutless act.
Whether by omission or commission is immaterial.

Give the POLs what we ‘wanted’ and they still screw us.
R-WE can’t do ANYTHING with a D President OR a D Congress or a D Senate.
WE give them all 3 and they come up with more lame excuses.
EVERY pol that ran on the repeal of BOScare should have been voted OUT for not passing the repeal of BOScare.
Whether good or not, they ran for 3 cycles, using the BO excuse then when PDJT brought it up ‘they’ lost their memory.
PDJT also PROMISED a National Reciprocity for CCP and it has seemingly ‘went away’.....PDJT could blame his own party for stopping it but how many ‘tweets’ pinpointing the dissidents just prior the election would have helped?
Threaten these clowns with removing their ‘security’ blanket and watch them go into action.
Also, the SS ‘raise’ COMPLETE data should have arrived in mailboxes the first week of November, just prior the elections.
Bet your Bippy that is the way the D’s handle renegades who would dare buck the Pres -
Nothing more needs to be said.
There’s a difference between blackmailed (or coerced) into collaboration and doing it wholeheartedly. The GOP-e does the latter. And yes, it’s material, because there is no instance of the former.
Purporting to represent “the good” and deliberately doing the evil is exactly the nature of the god of this world. It might be debatable whether being two-faced takes guts or not.
Its math folks.. without 60 in the Senate you cant pass it
Republicans run on things that they never quite get around to doing once elected (e.g., repealing Obamacare), and are then mystified when their support disappears.
Trump is really putting the rest of the republicans to shame. He has had an unprecedented success getting things accomplished. For the rest, its business as usual. Which is all talk, no results. They have been more of a hindrence than anything. It makes a strong case for electing accomplished business people instead of career politicians and lawyers.
The GOP has never been anti-Planned Parenthood.
Not, at least, in terms of effective action which could end the biocide.
Change the rules ala dingy harry. dims would in a heartbeat.
Abortion is a sin and an abomination. On the other hand, it’s mostly future rats that are doing the dying. If they are so hell-bent on offing their spawn, I’m more and more inclined to(legally)let them. I just don’t feel the need to participate or pay for it.
Adultery was such a serious sin in Old Testament days that, when Abraham claimed that Sarah was his sister rather than his wife (she actually was his half-sister), even pagan rulers were horrified and offended that they might have committed adultery with her. Today, it’s legal and quite popular, even among Christians. That’s at least as serious an offense against God as abortion, but we don’t talk of banning adultery any more.
