Expect a lot of “anonymous” phone calls to ICE from sympathetic cops.

...“And we’re telling our friends and our neighbors who have been living in fear: You can trust state law enforcement. You can trust state prosecutors here in New Jersey.”

“Nothing in this directive provides sanctuary to those who commit crimes in New Jersey..."

These dumbazzes really don't understand that their "friends and neighbors" living in fear, are committing a crime in New Jersey simply by being in New Jersey.

It’s just Phil Murphy protecting his biggest voting block. NJ is a cesspool and Murphy is the biggest turd.

How can there be ONLY 11 million illegals if N J alone has over 500,000????

That sure drives a big wedge into the narrative of Obama & the Dems for their lies.

They need large billboards stating:

The guberment in NJ is more concerned about protecting illegal than American citizens.
What are you going to do about it? You are probably receiving less benefits because they are spending so much on illegals.

Yep, they are the ones that experience a greater risk when these types roam the streets.

.……….sooooooo, what we have here, all over the US, from sea to shining sea, is groups of law enforcement agencies getting in each others face about which laws are going to be enforced. One group says one thing and another group another. Neither group is correct of course since we all know all laws on the books the cops are suppose to enforce.

When does the shooting start? And it will. One day cops in a high adrenalin situation will pull their guns on each other and blast away! The Civil War we all talk about from time to time will begin.

Just the other day, one cop shot another cop. What’s that about? Will we ever know?

correct, law is selective, if you have been in Mexico you can see where it is headed, not enough cops to enforce the law, they come and toe tag you..just an appearance of society, Babylon is falling

We should de-fund our half hearted whimpy Army ( you can see the border US mission is just not “worthy” of them ) and take half their budget and increase ICE/BP by orders of magnitude.

While they still hold the House, Republicans should push through a law which provides for jail for state officials who refuse to comply with ICE detainer requests.

A new law is not required to put down the nationwide conspiracy. The law already exists 18 U.S. Code § 2384 - Seditious conspiracy US Code If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both. (June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 808; July 24, 1956, ch. 678, § 1, 70 Stat. 623; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(1)(N), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2148.)

ICE responded by saying that they would just increase immigration raids in New Jersey

No worries. I’m sure a Federal judge somewhere will issue a nation-wide injunction banning ICE raids as being unconstitutional.

I can see where that provision pertains. But a simpler, more explicit new requirement wouldn’t have its scope or applicability questioned. It would also place the scofflaws on immediate notice about the sense of Congress regarding the seriousness of complying with federal immigration officials.
