Hmmm...FNS looks to be the best again...(which is not saying much).
I was in the Kingdom for the entire Desert Shield/Storm. I went to Kuwait two days after the cease fire. I flew over the burning oil fields in a helicopter and then drove thru them including the Mile of Death. It was a surreal scene. We landed around noon descending thru a pitch black cloud of smoke. The sun looked like a pale disk.
We had the perfect pretext to wipe out Saddams elite troops and remove him from power. Scowcroft maintained that this was not the mission of the international coalition.
Bush later got a nice bonus from the Kuwaitis after he left the WH.
Had Georgia won, wouldn't 'Bama still deserve a spot in the playoffs? Yes, of course, because the stated goal is to assemble the 4 best teams.
I have no dog (pun intended) in this hunt. I just hope for this rematch of two of the best. Clemson might give the Tide a game but OK, nor the Irish, nor THEE Ohio State University have a prayer.
1987 Time talked of GHW Bush “vision Thing” & Newsweek had the “Wimp Factor” cover. .
They did not want him with 8 years GOP Reagan. They wanted Gary Hart but got Dukakis.
And when Bush picked Quayle it got ugly. I recall when Quayle was introduced.
I remember listening to Rush starting 7/4/1988. We knew who Dukakis was.
Why support the fake Championship any longer. They need an 8 team tourney of the league Champions and make it real College FB Championship.
Do we really need to watch Georgia choke to their big brother again?
You mean the same Establishmedia that hated both Bushes?
Otherwise, we can just call it settled today.
How to stop this ?
OK, what did DS "Poppy" do, other than bash Reagan and give us the Clintons?
Just a doggone minute...
In 2015 - 42-35 The Ohio State University beat the Tide like a red haired step child. Their onliest encounter.
Undefeated UCF is left out.
The scalded Dogs have been whipped twice
Buckeyes are happy with the Rose Bowl, led by its Coach who has never been named Big Ten Coach of the Year. Last TOSU coach so named was in 1979! Earle Bruce. 39 freakin years ago!
No justice, no how
With the fantasy playoff we will never know. Looks like OSU and OK may give them problems and there are always upsets.
The playoffs are a joke and they can play this game 10 times if the ESPN execs want. Bama is the best team in the country, but the Championship is not a Championship until you have all the Champions play.
Wonderful history lesson! Many thanks for enlightening info about the shifty Schiff-Rothschild connection!
Just heard Bill Bennett, on Fox & Friends, comparing Bush with Trump and his quote about Trump was: Sometimes you need a Mother Theresa and sometimes you need a Dirty Harry! His comparison was his admiration for Bush, Reagan AND Trump!
There was an expert in Texas,Red Adair, who was tasked to put the fires out,he did.
https://www.nytimes.com/1991/02/28/business/the-job-of-fighting-kuwait-s-infernos.html Red Adair, president of the firefighting company that bears his name, said he had ordered special engines on new equipment to battle the desert blazes, each with enough radiator capacity to hold twice the usual volumes of water. The special equipment is made by United Engines Inc. in Oklahoma City, which is adding a second shift of welders and mechanics to speed delivery to the Persian Gulf. 'A Serious Situation'
Mr. Adair, who is 75 years old, said he had worked on more than 2,500 oil well fires in 50 years, but nothing compared with the spectacle in Kuwait. "It is a serious situation over there," he said. His company is one of a handful that specialize in halting oilwell fires and blowouts, and was one of five companies hired by the Kuwait Petroleum Company this week to help battle the fires.
Several years later the US was still considered infidels in a poll taken in Kuwait.
Just goes to show we don't belong in the mid east unless its in an advisory capacity.
Using Army tanks to murder 80 innocent US citizens and by burning them to death in a televised assault. No problem.
Iraq would have dissolved into chaos with very uncertain consequences. But one fairly certain consequence would have been lots of dead people especially the ones Saddam was sort of protecting.
The winners of the Big 10, Big 12, SEC, Atlantic 10, Pac, Big East and a couple of at large should play a Championship and see who the real National Champions are.
It would be a 3 game championship and amazing. Every team in America would have a chance at the start of the season. You win your league you are in.
It would make the Super Bowl look like peanuts.
Looks like Fox has it’s NeverTrump All Stars ready to trash Trump.
Great question.I am coming to believe that the job, as many do, will fall on us.
? Many of the third worlders even some of the ones on welfare want jobs they cant get elsewhere. Doesn't give them the right to be here but they come anyway. And, even if we had a wall tomorrow there are still millions here and after they bring relatives over it's too late.
Our best chance is going to be to turn them politically.
They are living under either socialism or brutal rulers now. If we can convince them that capitalism is in their best interest, which it is, which should be doable, we can convert many as we are now doing with the black population. It may be our best hope.
LOl, do yourself a favor. Never, never play the tide. It always comes in and you go out!!LOL.The gators know from experience.
