Funny how it’s “Republicans” like Flake and McCain that talk the best game about fighting on behalf the People, but always fight the hardest against other Republicans. And also find it necessary to “reach across the aisle” to make deals they _know_ are bad for the People.
And McConnell allows Flake to get away with this ?!

You’re being disingenuous about his role in Jesse Helms’s reelection.
Helms played racial dirty tricks for that and this guy, though denying it, was found to have his handwriting on the documents involved.
The GOP doesn’t need that in a judge, however long ago it was.

They should have booted him off the committee by now as a lame-duck saboteur.
Tim Scott in SC was against Farr too. That sunk it.
Speaking of his children. One of them, a son, is openly gay, and goes around telling people, when confronted, do you know who my father is? I wonder how long it will be before that one has legal problems.

Great idea! The floor can choose to accept the Committee’s recommendation — or not — so the Committee’s input isn’t required.
