Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr confirmed Friday his panel has made referrals to special counsel Robert Mueller.
The confirmation, made at a University of Texas forum, comes a day after Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to lying to Congress as part of Mueller’s investigation.
“I don’t want you to get us mixed up with Bob Mueller’s special prosecutor investigation. We have no criminal responsibilities. If we identify a crime in our investigation that has been committed, we refer it to the special prosecutor,” Burr said. “I won’t tell you the number of times, but we have made referrals to the special prosecutor.”
The Senate Intelligence Committee has interviewed more than 200 witnesses — including Cohen — as part of its investigation into Russian election interference and possible connections to the Trump campaign. Burr mentioned Cohen as one of those referrals.
“One of them, one instance just highlighted of late was the special prosecutor made the indictment yesterday using the transcripts of interviews we have done in our committee to indict somebody for lying to Congress,” Burr said.
The North Carolina Republican said that Cohen’s guilty plea should be seen as a clear warning.
“It’s a loud message to everybody that is interviewed by our committee, regardless of where that prosecution comes from: If you lie to us, we’re going to go after you. Our mandate is at the end of this to get as close to the clear truth as we possibly can, and we can’t do it on conjecture. We’ve got to do it on facts.”

Did Mueller write back and ask them to identify the testimony as either republican or Democrat? How else will he know which lies matter?

Good question. I guess the Repubikans in the senate consider Bob Mueller the defacto AG. They’ve ALL spent so much time defending him vis a vis Trump.

The game is that the GOP is giving the Mueller Coup a bipartisan veneer to help it hamstring POTUS and the MAGA agenda we voted for.
Burr, of course, knows Mueller is only assaulting supporters of the POTUS. Yet he colludes with him any way. These Senate “Republicans” are beneath contempt.
It will truly be tragic if fifth column Quislings like Burr send the Party of Lincoln into the dustbin of history

I was under the impression that the referrals were very recent -- like within the last 48 hours. After reading Burr's quote, I now get the impression that the referrals were made many months ago.
The GOP died during the O’muslim usurpation when they allowed and funded his fundamental transformation of America. Then they turned around and went to war against the one man that was trying to save her, President Trump. They’re a COMPLETELY FAKE PARTY. The washington generals to the left’s harlem globetrotters.

That’s it. Everything released, in any form, (even the “17” stuff if source is legit) is likely disinformation purposed only for leverage.
We know Trump has a ton of leverage.
We can only guess what he thinks is important that Mueller has. The 2018 Blue Wave and Impeach-Convict died out. Will he worry about 2030? Will Trump fold his hand? The answer will be monumentally important.
