Donald Trump Jr.'s testimony to Congress about his family's real estate negotiations with powerful Russians does not comport with the new version laid out by Donald Trump's ex-attorney Michael Cohen, official transcripts show.
Trump Jr. told the Senate Judiciary Committee in September 2017 that although there had been negotiations surrounding a prospective Trump Tower in Moscow, they concluded without result "at the end" of 2014.
"But not in 2015 or 2016?" Trump Jr. was asked.
"Certainly not '16," he said. "There was never a definitive end to it. It just died of deal fatigue."
Trump's account contrasts with the new version of events given by Cohen on Thursday in a guilty plea in federal court. In that new version, Cohen says the discussions with at least one Russian government official and others in Moscow continued through June 2016, well into Trump's presidential campaign.
Cohen initially told Congress he reached out to a spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin and didn't hear back. On Thursday, his guilty plea acknowledged that he had heard back and that other negotiations with other Russians went forward.

the new version...so all of a sudden Cohen’s “new version” is the truthful version??

Lying to Congress or any Federal LEO is a felony.
Mueller will use Cohen to go after Trump Jr. And maybe his sister too.
It’s reported they have emails showing the pursuit of the Russian deal lasted longer than originally testified to.
So, Cohen is lying about lying?

Most of what he knew about it, he said, he had learned recently while preparing to testify. He told the committee that Mr. Cohen pursued the project in 2015 and told the House Intelligence Committee that the deal fell dormant as of June 2016 — an accurate date, according to Thursday’s court documents.
Lawyers for Ms. Trump and her brother declined to comment on their interactions with Mr. Cohen about the project. But people close to the Trump family said that while emails indicate that both of them were aware of Mr. Cohen’s efforts to get it off the ground in 2015, their involvement appears to end in January 2016. If Mr. Cohen tried to continue with the project after that, these people added, they did not know.

discussions of what? This seems like npr/media speak of combining various conversations or snips of info to stitch together the narrative the media is looking for.
So Don Jr’s testimony before Congress conflicts with the testimony of a guy who just plead guilty to lying before Congress?

Obtaining an indictment or a search warrant is not the same as obtaining a conviction.
