Peterson raises some interesting points in this short video. As always, Peterson isn't judgmental, just analytical, in his approach to Hitler.

Interesting observations of the situation in late 30s Germany. His comments towards the end about the lack of dissent even when the stakes are low is particularly so.

“Dude is a nutter fraud.”

Far from it. He’s looking at Hitler from the standpoint of a clinical psychologist (which is what he is) - when he provides these explanations, he’s not trying to *excuse* Hitler - he’s trying to explain what made him tick, and why it worked on the Germans the way it did. And that’s exactly what one needs to know if one doesn’t want to see another Hitler come to power.

We don’t need more analysis. We need more God and Jesus. Western men included. Isn’t he an atheist?

Atheism ruined the West and gave us Nazism and Communism.

Peterson came to see Jesus as the Truth by carefully analyzing the Gospel as a logician and psychologist.

Thanks. Conservatives need to be on guard when making sense of the current crises facing the West. The roots of our problems both in church and society stretch long before feminism, the latest Islamic invasion, etc...

Think of the near continental suicides and havoc caused by WWI and WWII alone...

Once the November 1933 German general election is finished....there are no opposition parties, and journalism basically ends. It’s the Nazi Party apparatus from that point on. You could dissent just in the privacy of your house. All of this took thirteen brief years to accomplish.

Peterson’s analysis sounds correct. The point he made about Hitler figuring out what the mob wanted and then giving it to them has parallels to identity politics and democrats, both of which require a scapegoat.

Peterson is the same Canadian dope who said that Justice Kavanaugh should step down. He’s a fraud.

He’s not an atheist. Do some research on him. Listen to what he has to say. I’ll bet you’ll agree with about 95% of it. Don’t make a judgment on what you’ve heard. Find out with your own eyes and ears. Peterson is a good man, doing exceptional work.

I don’t think he’s very spiritual. I think he came to the logical conclusion that people need Christianity for moral guidance.

I disagree slightly with Peterson's conclusion that Hitler identified what the mob wanted a gave it to them.

I think that Hitler was the actually embodiment of what the mob wanted and the more speeches he gave, the more he came to know that. And the more he came to know that he was the embodiment of what the mob wanted, the more his sense of personal destiny grew. I think it was the assurance of his sense of personal destiny that gave him his charisma.

Who do you agree with 100% of the time? I’ll bet the answer is no one. Ideological purity is a vile trap and a recipe for failure. Just look at the Republican Party for goodness sake.

Peterson is fairly upfront about being basically Liberal when it comes to politics. Canada, eh? So sometimes he says things which I think are wrong. But most of what he says isn't geared to politics or policy. He just talks about human nature. "People who do this tend to fail. People who do that tend to succeed."

The great irony is that Peterson understands reality and understands human nature. And that's why the Left calls him a Nazi.

Meanwhile, he's a Liberal who thinks Kavanaugh should step down. Because, you know, Peterson is a Nazi. They just need to disparage anything that smacks of reality.

Just shows that the Left has no real thoughts. They only have a narrative. Which is one of Peterson's main themes.

Very similarly, Victor Davis Hanson (to the best of my knowledge) still identifies as a Democrat. If you read stuff from VDH, it's clear that he "gets it". He sure sounds like "one of us". But he's s a Democrat. Deep in his soul he still thinks Democrats "care"; they are "the good guys". It's very hard for some people to break away 100%.

You are probably correct about his spirituality. I hope it is growing.

That said, he understands very clearly the human need for a savior to atone for our sins. I think he got that from Dostoevsky and, to a slightly lesser degree, from Jung.

here is a great Jordan Peterson where he reads his introduction to a new edition of the Gulag Archipelago — 45 minutes

I load this kind of long videos onto a Sandisk MP3 player and listen while exercising or driving. First you extract the YT vid into mp3 form which is easy...then transfer to mp3 player
