President Donald Trump threatened to declassify “devastating” documents next year if House Democrats launch probes into his administration.
“If they want to play tough, I will do it,” he said during an Oval Office interview Wednesday with the New York Post.
"They will see how devastating those pages are."
Trump told the paper he would declassify FISA warrant applications and other confidential documents from Robert Mueller’s investigation, which he said would expose efforts by the FBI, the Justice Department and the Clinton campaign to set him up.
“If they go down the presidential harassment track, if they want to go and harass the president and the administration, I think that would be the best thing that would happen to me,” he said.
“I’m a counter-puncher and I will hit them so hard they’d never been hit like that.” Trump also told the tabloid he would wait to reveal such documents until they are absolutely needed, saying, “It’s much more powerful if I do it then.”
Why wait?

When is the opportune time? Could it be January 2019?
Releasing the docs will be the travel ban x 1000. Fake News fueled mass hysteria will sweep the country. POTUS needs to weigh all the costs and benefits before he drops the hammer.
It’s very likely that Democrat criminalty isn’t going to matter to most people. Democrats don’t care. Never Trump Republicans don’t care. Brain dead “moderates” won’t care. Etc., Etc. Sadly, this has become little more than red meat for Trump supporters. So maybe Trump saves it for election season GOTV efforts. We shall see.

The political prisoners are increasing in numbers and should give every law abiding, America-loving citizen pause.
President Trump and Vice President Pence and now the Republican held Senate are the only forces holding back the darkness. ( plus a few state governments and the US Supreme Court sometimes )
But the darkness deepens and I believe only fervent prayer can save us now.....plus some political courage by our wonderful President. May God give POTUS strength and courage and foresight and safety.
That’s how I see it, too. If These people the power of the government to overturn an election. The people have a right to know. Otherwise, it will be done again in the future.
If Trump is guilty of anything he needs to bite the bullet. Of course, I don’t believe he’s done anything illegal.
But it’s interesting Mueller put information out about Cohen the day after Trump sent answers in to Mueller. He will choose to believe the corrupt lawyer over the president. And I’m afraid that would trigger an impeachment trial.
Why wait? Great timing would be after formal declarations of democrats that they are running for the presidential nomination. Interesting to see how many are identified in the documents.
This is not a bargaining tool. These documents must be released. This makes Donald Trump look crooked. Do they actually have something on Trump that he needs to use this tactic. Even if they do then Trump still needs to look out for justice. He is now becoming part of a coverup. We are so screwed in the long run if those crooks are never charged. It will only get so much worse.
My only hope is that this is just a temporary ploy. Part of a game that still ends very badly for those criminals who abused their power.
When the government class can commit crime with impunity and no consequences, then, in fact, you live in a totalitarian state.
They only question becomes, who is really running the government then. Apparently, it is not the president.
Trump has an obligation in fulfilling his oath of office to see that the culprits in this coup attempt are brought to justice. That oath does not allow political calculations, and does not allow Obama to go free.

Then what? Hell we couldn’t get half of this site to care about the Wikileaks emails. Like what the hell are you going to do with this? Complain when the media ignores it?
He should use it for the leverage it is, not release it so that some of you can spend 2 minutes caring about it before you move onto your next toy.
If the dems pull something, then release it when the issue is hot. Dont do it for the entertainment of some no names online today.

At least just to vindicate himself. If he can show that the entire Russian thing was a campaign set-up, it could spark its own investigation of the corrupt Democrats in government.

He isnt going to be releasing video of famous Democrats spilling the beans of their crooked plans, these are going to be tedious legal documents that the average person is not to going to sit and evaluate over coffee with their friends to hinge their votes on.
Without them, they'll open his life up like a filleted fish for the world to see.
He's got every reason to hold them over their heads.

Why would they? Fake News won’t report the truth and “Trump’s treason” is the perfect event to get their base all wee-wee’d up for 2020.
The James O Keefe videos already showed infamous democrats spilling the beans of their crooked plans. The FISA documents would have some of the big names in fear of incarceration, which is what we want to see. Justice.

And only if the House Dems launch a probe?
Geez, for the good of the country, release them now.
