A Texas mom is outraged after a Southwest Airlines worker made fun of her 5-year-old daughter’s name – by snapping a picture of the girl’s boarding pass and posting it on social media.
Traci Redford, from El Paso, says the agent at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, began poking fun at her daughter’s name, Abcde – pronounced “ab-city” – as they boarded a flight a few weeks ago and put it online for users to shame the girl, who suffers from epilepsy.
“The gate agent started laughing, pointing at me and my daughter, talking to other employees. So I turned around and said, ‘Hey if I can hear you, my daughter can hear you, so I’d appreciate if you’d just stop,'” Redford told KABC this week.
Redford said she only recently learned that the agent took a picture and put it online after a friend spotted it circulating on social media.
“While I was sitting there, she took a picture of my boarding pass and chose to post it on social media, mocking my daughter,” Redford said.

I agree. It almost seems related to Munchausen's By Proxy Syndrome, which also seems to be behind a great deal (if not all) of the "transgender child" phenomenon.
The parent wants attention regardless of the harm to the child.
Southwest Airlines did not do this to your child. You did.

The gate agent was pointing at the child, and laughing so that she could hear it (according to the article). Then the gate agent posted a photo to social media ... for what purpose? Obviously, to get attention.
Agent screwed up...the mom IS screwed up.

I am criticizing the gate agent, not defending the mother. Anyway, it’s not a contest.

The agent was not mocking the woman’s daughter. He was laughing at the daughter’s idiot mom, for assigning to her daughter mere letters instead of an actual name. Most likely she gave up on a million real possible names, and like an idiot surrendered to “Abcde”.
The daughter should not be ashamed, but likely she will grow to be ashamed of her mom.
The mother thought that the name would be easy to type. But when she looked at a keyboard, she realized her error. Her son, Qwerty, is happy with his name.
