A Texas mom is outraged after a Southwest Airlines worker made fun of her 5-year-old daughter’s name – by snapping a picture of the girl’s boarding pass and posting it on social media.
Traci Redford, from El Paso, says the agent at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, began poking fun at her daughter’s name, Abcde – pronounced “ab-city” – as they boarded a flight a few weeks ago and put it online for users to shame the girl, who suffers from epilepsy.
“The gate agent started laughing, pointing at me and my daughter, talking to other employees. So I turned around and said, ‘Hey if I can hear you, my daughter can hear you, so I’d appreciate if you’d just stop,'” Redford told KABC this week.
Redford said she only recently learned that the agent took a picture and put it online after a friend spotted it circulating on social media.
“While I was sitting there, she took a picture of my boarding pass and chose to post it on social media, mocking my daughter,” Redford said.

Can't believe the idiot mom saddled the poor child with that name. A name that leads to an old elementary school joke.

Then don’t name your child stupid things that deserve to be mocked.
That child is going to grow up to be an adult saddled with that horrible name.
Use it on a pet if you feel the need to prove something, but not a child.
If I were named abcde, I’d occasionally flail about on the floor too.
It’s not only stupid- it’s child abuse. At least the kid wasn’t aborted.
Ask her if she’d mind going by just Leah and I’ll bet she’d jump at the chance.
She’ll probably get her name changed as soon as she’s an adult.
I would.

WTF is wrong with parents who do this? It seems like the ultimate “hey, look at me! Look at me!” move.
My daughter is named Lea. I can’t fathom ever thinking “hey, lets just put princess before her name on her birth certificate.” She’ll love that when she’s an adult. My god..............
Stupid people do stupid things........Always thought that people should have to pass a basic intelligence test before being able to become a parent.

I heard Abcde’s older brother Qrstu was really mad about it.
Snowflake damages her own child by branding her with such a stupid name, she (the mom) deserves all the mocking and ridicule she gets.
Don’t think we’ll be reading that the nanny government charged her with child abuse and Social Services removed the child victim from her abuser’s custody though. Poor child will probably change her name once she is old enough to realize what her mother did to her.

Years ago I worked at a smelter with a guy named Spike Nail. His sister Penny worked in the office. True story.
They do it for the attention and when they get it, they get all mad.
Better to ignore them.
But no complaints about TSA goons molesting the little girl. You can’t sue them.
What does her husband think about it?
