A Texas mom is outraged after a Southwest Airlines worker made fun of her 5-year-old daughters name by snapping a picture of the girls boarding pass and posting it on social media.
Traci Redford, from El Paso, says the agent at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, began poking fun at her daughters name, Abcde pronounced ab-city as they boarded a flight a few weeks ago and put it online for users to shame the girl, who suffers from epilepsy.
The gate agent started laughing, pointing at me and my daughter, talking to other employees. So I turned around and said, Hey if I can hear you, my daughter can hear you, so Id appreciate if youd just stop,' Redford told KABC this week.
Redford said she only recently learned that the agent took a picture and put it online after a friend spotted it circulating on social media.
While I was sitting there, she took a picture of my boarding pass and chose to post it on social media, mocking my daughter, Redford said.

My teacher cousin had a student whose name was pronounced Fee-Mal-Lee...
...spelled “female”.
the initials of my full name are the same.
When people comment on it, I reply There were having a sale on that letter the day I was born and my Mom took 3.
I was working for a major corporation in the early 70’s and they had a really nice guy doing some of their custodial work with the last name of Butts. Parents can be either cruel or stupid. They named him Buster.
Got one worse. A prominent family of which the father was elected to public office in my original home town, had the last name of Dick. Had a son, and they named him, you guessed it, Harold. What were they thinking? He graduated high school with my older brother in 1967. Poor guy.

Oh boy, am I glad we didn’t name our daughter “Qwerty!”
Wife thought it was cute. Now, she thinks parents are cruel by just spelling the name in a different way. Traci, Robyn, Eleese, Yuk!
Already made “The Talk” show today. I saw it when I was in a store. I don’t know details as I was unable to hear audio.
“Silly name, unprofessional behavior.”
A perfect post. It was a very stupid mom and gate agent. The gate agent will probably be fired and should be for posting it on the internet.
That name is from India. I worked with a "Dr. Dickshit" ... when he became a citizen, he changed the spelling to Dixit, which better approximated the actual pronounciation.
“I knew a guy in the Air Force whose last name was Cabbagestalk and another later on named Dikshit.”
I knew an officer named Dick. He eventually became a Major.
He would joke about becoming a “Major Dick”.
That’s a good one. Have a cookie!
Here in Alabama, our state treasurer is Young Boozer.
Another source says roughly 300 millenial girls have been so named. Inquiring minds want to know how many moms were dumb enough to want to so tarnish their girls and failed to get the spelling right.
You can hear it on his podcast dated yesterday. It was pretty good and fairly serious, for him! Is it true that there is no more R representation in DC from OC? How sad.
You think there are another 300 or so girls named ABDCE, and 300 named ACDBE, and so on?
