Yep, any fisherman will tell you lf you hold a fish close to the camera when tthe picture is being taken it can look WAY bigger than actual. I usually use a beer can for scale in my pics. :)

Agree. Too much photoshopping going on to give this much credibility. However, having done a lot of squirrel hunting when I was a kid I can confirm that the fos squirrel is much larger than the grey squirrel.

That’s a 16-18” caliper (diameter) tree to his right. After 25yrs in the nursery business, my sense of distance, width, height etc is uncanny. He’s a big critter.
