On Monday, Fox News host Shepard Smith accused the GOP of making climate change a “political issue,” declaring “it’s science.”
Mediaite picked up those comments from Smith, who reported on the recently released government climate change report. The report predicted that rising temperatures could cost the U.S. economy hundreds of billions of dollars and cause premature deaths, including deaths from starvation, mosquito-borne disease, heat exhaustion, flooding, and other natural disasters by the year 2090. The report urges action to reduce fossil fuel use and greenhouse gas emissions.
“Heat waves are getting stronger, floods are growing larger, wildfires are obliterating more of America’s landscape. It’s because of climate change that’s largely man-made. Our burning of fossil fuels is damaging planet Earth, and the time to stop it is running out,” Smith said.
“By the end of the century, climate change could shrink the U.S. economy by hundreds of billions of dollars,” he continued. “That is the warning in a new report released on Friday, ahead of schedule, by the Trump administration.”
Smith summarized several of the report’s findings and attacked Republicans.
“The climate science is accepted science,” Smith said. “Governments across the nation are spending billions preparing for what is to come. The U.S. military, too, billions of dollars. This is not a political issue. It’s science. But some have made it political — especially Republicans. And as a result, a lot of folks have missed this report. It was dropped, as I said, ahead of schedule, on Black Friday, when a lot of Americans are busy shopping, eating Thanksgiving leftovers,

Is Shepard Smith interested in reporting on the criticisms of the government’s report? Or is his definition of “fair and balanced” attacking Republicans for refusing to implement new government policies in response to climate alarmism?

Shepard Smith is not a newsman. He is an opinion driven man with little relationship to a journalist. He should be given his own opinion show just like Hannity. Smiths show would crash and burn.
Why in the hell does Fox pretend to keep this clown and pretend he is a reporter and newsman and give him a spot on what is supposed to be news? Give him his own opinion show and let economics kill his career at Fox.
His sexual proclivities are his business and of no consequence. His biased reporting on a supposed news show are of great consequence and and insult to the few honest newsmen left on the air.

Any scientist who claims that man-caused global warming is occurring is not a real scientist. They can hypothesize that this is the case but we do not have ANY means of constructing a valid study: One or more “earths” where there are similar populations with similar human activities compared to one or more “earths” where there are no humans. No study resembling this will happen in my lifetime....Now we can look at the signs that we find buried the plant, animal and geologic manifestations here on earth. And what do we find: indications that the temperatures have varied widely since before there were men walking the surface of this planet.

I’ve been on this earth 73 years, and I grew up in the deep south. I remember it being a lot, lot, hotter when I was a kid than it has been since, well, the 80’s.
“Climate Change”, “Global Warming”, it’s the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind. Entire countries have seen that it is possibly a “cash cow” and have jumped on the bandwagon.
The story flips, flops, and changes as it needs to be to try and back up their claims. What started as “global warming”, has changed to “climate change” to explain why it’s not getting hotter and the polar bears are thriving.
Now there are signs that “climate change” is morphing into the new “ice age”. But, that’s just because of the winter storms they’re having in the northeast.
One-off events, such as occasional hurricanes, or heat waves in August, are now seen as “long term” proof of their opportunity to cash in on Mother Nature.
I sincerely doubt if “Mascara” Smith could change a rubber washer in a leaky faucet, but he loves to lecture people about “science’ - among other things. But, it’s been my experience that gays LOVE to lecture people about something, no matter what the subject.
Their foot-stompy, hissy-fit, crap doesn’t belong on the news.
All climate believers do not believe in God.. they think they have to save the planet from its inhabitants.. these climate people are easily led down a wrong path.
The fact that one is not allowed to raise questions shows it is politics, not science. One can question scientific theories.

As yoh note, with an n=1 of habitable planets, the possibility of setting up a controlled experiment with a statistically significant sample size is impossible.
It would be possible, however, to set up experiments to demonstrate whether the hypothesized mechanism of warming by CO2 actually causes warming. There are any number of experiments that could be conducted. I have yet to see any. All of the publications that presumably document evidence of “anthropogenic global warming” do no such thing. All the ones I have seen describe observations and then tag the words “because of global warming” to the explanation, along with more plausible explanations for the observation.

Yes climate change is real... but saying we have the ability to prevent it is ludicrous.
We would be so much better off in preparing for it than fighting it.

Most reporters have been indoctrinated through an educational system which rejects truth in favor of a politicized culture with the goal of socialism/communism/fascism in it’s sights where everyone will be forced to look to government for the politically correct view of everything and those who will not comply will be punished or worse. Now, science has been politicized. This will not last though because lies will not stand the test of time and Mother Nature is known to bring truthful and painful consequences to breaches of her unchanging reign. The world, at large, is failing because of the lack of knowledge and wisdom. Sooner or later the clock will be set back and people will be able to struggle again to find the truth. Hopefully, if there are still talking heads on TV at that time, they will have some solid basis for what they say and will not spew hatred all over the truth 24/7.

Some people believe that those who want communism see “Climate Change,” as the tool to get the money to bring that about. Frankly, other than the left wing politicians and the leftist media, I know few people who even think much about the weather other than to know whether to carry their umbrella today. They are much more concerning about violence, migration, health care, drug addictions, the national debt and the state of our judicial and congressional system where career politicians line their pockets and ignore the people who elected them. Just pray for those who are so incredibly blind, uneducated and unwise, for it is also their future we are concerned about.
