Any scientist who claims that man-caused global warming is occurring is not a real scientist. They can hypothesize that this is the case but we do not have ANY means of constructing a valid study: One or more “earths” where there are similar populations with similar human activities compared to one or more “earths” where there are no humans. No study resembling this will happen in my lifetime....Now we can look at the signs that we find buried the plant, animal and geologic manifestations here on earth. And what do we find: indications that the temperatures have varied widely since before there were men walking the surface of this planet.
As yoh note, with an n=1 of habitable planets, the possibility of setting up a controlled experiment with a statistically significant sample size is impossible.
It would be possible, however, to set up experiments to demonstrate whether the hypothesized mechanism of warming by CO2 actually causes warming. There are any number of experiments that could be conducted. I have yet to see any. All of the publications that presumably document evidence of “anthropogenic global warming” do no such thing. All the ones I have seen describe observations and then tag the words “because of global warming” to the explanation, along with more plausible explanations for the observation.
Oh, you make way too much sense because you have an EDUCATION! Naughty, naughty! You have to rely on your imagination in our modern world, where you make up your fantasy as you go, like the media and the politicians do, where the skill of lying is a necessity on your resume. That way, you do not have to be scared of what is real and needing to be faced on a regular basis by most real people like, how do we get and keep a job, how can we afford a family, how can we pay the bills to meet our basic needs, will our health care become too expensive for us, can we afford a college education for our children. If you are a Millennial, you might wonder when you will be able to get out of your parent's basement into a place of your own. For some of us, the war against our President is the biggest threat our nation faces, for there are way too many cowards in public office to keep us safe from seditions rising everywhere we look. Hope and pray. That is what we on the outside looking in do each and every day.
