Democratic Rep. Beto O'Rourke is changing his tune about the possibility of running for president in 2020.
Prior to his narrow loss in the Texas US Senate race to Republican Ted Cruz, O'Rourke had repeatedly insisted he would not run for president.
Now, he's leaving the door open.
He said Monday he will finish his term in the House in January and focus with his wife and children on "being together as a family" until then.

Another face guy who has absolutely nothing in his background to justify anyone voting for him in 2020. He is a Mass Media phenomenon. Has he ever run a business? Has he ever actually worked? Or has he just skated out of arrests through the intervention of his family? Or is he living off the accumulated wealth if his family and his wifes family?? If the Dems do choose him in 2020, we may sadly find out how dumbed down our citizenry has become.
A white boy pretending to be a Mexican. The ‘RATS are really hard up for a win. He’s like calling Taco Bell Mexican food.
Oh hey, why not? What else is a zero accomplishment unemployed loser bum going to do? Just like hitlery.
During the 2016 elections a violent mob of hammer and sickle flag carrying communists, black lives matter thugs, Muslim activists, and illegal aliens physically attacked voters at Trump's Chicago rally. Ted Cruz went on record as asserting that much of the blame for this attack lay with those self same voters.
It hasn't played well at all in Texas. What could Ted do? First off, he needs to very publicly apologize to the American people as a whole, and voters who believe that freedom of assembly in particular. Taking time off from serving in the legislature and atoning in some way that is unpaid volunteer work would show some sincerity.
There are always people around who don't have any problem with using violence to serve their cause, and Ted Cruz by every single indication which he has given the public is one of those people.
All of which is sad. If you look back at my posting history, you will find that Cruz was very much my initial chosen candidate at the beginning of the 2016 elections. Obviously there are some things which I hold as completely unacceptable.
The Republican Party needs to find a candidate the Texans can vote for, instead of having to hold their noses to block another Abortion Barbie with a penis, which was the situation last month.
NO qualifications whatsoever. Way less than Trump.
Because he “looks like Kennedy”?
Beat Ole Beto O’, 2020 (again).
That was my point! Is Cruz damaged goods? I know weve got 6 years, but if hes lost his shine who are Texans going to want in his place?

Cruz just got re-elected this very month any youre already hand wringing about 6 years from now? Chill out.
This hysteria bothers me.
>Snicker<
That’s great, Venezuela is going to need a president around then.
The door is open to any ‘citizen’ who is 35 years old, or older.
Beto outspent Cruz 10 to 1 and Cruz ran a rather weak campaign...
Beteau is a loser. He and “Spartacus”
and Camela Harris can slug it out with the Hilabeast.
They will lose.
If it is the door to the outhouse, I’ll support him. I’ll even buy him a case of toilet paper just in case he knows how to use it.
Plus it was a Democratic wave year.
Had it been 2010 or 2014, or even 2018 had Hillary Clinton won in 2016... not even close.
All the stars aligned just right for O’Rourke, and he still lost.
“Beto outspent Cruz 10 to 1 and Cruz ran a rather weak campaign...”
And let’s be honest, Cruz is a pr!ck who can’t be trusted. So who’s in line to take his place, or is it too early?

I just hope we have 17 RATs all running for 2020, because if you thought it was fun and games with the Republicans, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet when the RATs take the stage. There will be torn and bloody jockstraps, and those will be on the women!
Pays to plan ahead. Something the GOPe doesn’t do very well.

Me too! I thought initially a Trump/Cruz ticket would be sweet. And you are also right about the “it’s my turn” problem the GOPe has. The “we have to win this seat, and we have to do it with this POS, because it’s his turn,” has got to go. Neuter the kingmakers, they are ruining the Party irreparably.
