Yes.
He dropped an anvil on his head.

During the 2016 elections a violent mob of hammer and sickle flag carrying communists, black lives matter thugs, Muslim activists, and illegal aliens physically attacked voters at Trump's Chicago rally. Ted Cruz went on record as asserting that much of the blame for this attack lay with those self same voters.

It hasn't played well at all in Texas. What could Ted do? First off, he needs to very publicly apologize to the American people as a whole, and voters who believe that freedom of assembly in particular. Taking time off from serving in the legislature and atoning in some way that is unpaid volunteer work would show some sincerity.

There are always people around who don't have any problem with using violence to serve their cause, and Ted Cruz by every single indication which he has given the public is one of those people.

All of which is sad. If you look back at my posting history, you will find that Cruz was very much my initial chosen candidate at the beginning of the 2016 elections. Obviously there are some things which I hold as completely unacceptable.

The Republican Party needs to find a candidate the Texans can vote for, instead of having to hold their noses to block another Abortion Barbie with a penis, which was the situation last month.

Me too! I thought initially a Trump/Cruz ticket would be sweet. And you are also right about the “it’s my turn” problem the GOPe has. The “we have to win this seat, and we have to do it with this POS, because it’s his turn,” has got to go. Neuter the kingmakers, they are ruining the Party irreparably.
