Long-time Bay Area journalist and radio host, Ray Taliaferro, is still missing.
The 79-year-old was reported missing in Paducah, Kentucky where he was last seen on Nov. 10.
Taliaferro is said to have met with his manager at a pizza restaurant in Paducah earlier that day.
He's a man many people listened to on KGO Radio in the Bay Area for many years.
Friends said Taliaferro was also the president of the Arts Commission, Leukemia Society, and the San Francisco NAACP chapter.
"Millions of people spent the night with Ray Taliaferro Monday through Friday 1 a.m. to 5 a.m.," said KGO Radio talk show host, John Rothmann said. "You couldn't miss Ray Taliaferro. His wonderful commitment to human rights, his wonderful commitment to San Francisco and his wonderful commitment to people."
He's considered a San Francisco legend.
"He's one of those talents that is bigger than life. He's one of the people that you just dream of being somebody like Ray," KGO Radio host Pat Thurston said. "Always true to himself. A heart of gold."
A missing persons flyer for Taliaferro warns he 'may be experiencing disorientation and signs of dementia.'
KRON4's Michelle Kingston spoke to authorities who say, Taliaferro and his new wife of six months were in Kentucky looking at property she inherited.
She told law enforcement that she was walking the property when she turned around and noticed Taliaferro had left in their rental car.
There was a lot of Cheney worship to go along with the Bush worship even here. I’d always been a little suspicious of him, and those suspicions were confirmed with the certification of Obama. That facial expression, he was like the cat who ate the canary.
Yeah, I see what you mean. I took it that the manager was a show biz career manager or ex-manager of his career, since that is what he was known for and had done for a long time.
Anyway, he seems to have walked away from his car, which is where the real mystery begins.
“She told law enforcement that she was walking the property when she turned around and noticed Taliaferro had left in their rental car.”
He could have run off the road someplace and not been found yet. Or not.
A little too convenient, the wife is highly suspect to me. If he had incipient Alzheimers to the point of becoming disoriented, she’d have known and he would not have been driving the car or even in possession of the keys, especially in unfamiliar territory.
Always check the spouse!
Good to see you too.
What? I haven’ heard him since the 90’s, and I’m not sure when the last time he was on air, but he was anything but right wing. Quite the opposite.
Suggesting that Taliaferro could be considered “pro-Trump” or “a ‘right-wing’ talk-show host” is laughable. If he dumped on Obama from time to time, it was for being too much of a squishy centrist.
79 years old with a ‘new wife’.
This doesn’t add up.
Yeah, who knows. Email me.
Well, the true story could go either way, but a mildly-moderately demented person might well drive away, forgetting why they were there and who they were with.
Yes The Red Fox. Word is he never got a chance to look at the menu.
It could be that the “inherited property” was barren or swampy and Taliaferro bailed out to avoid insulting his new wife.
APB on the rental car, cell phone movements, etc. Modern Forensics should solve this soon.
Writing clearly...reminds me of Uncle Jack and his horse!
Lost and, sadly, there is no concern about the loss.
YOU MISSED THE “HIS MANAGER!
Of course, it could have been his business manager!
Still not clear writing. (”D-”) grade.
His Widow is nuts.
Just sayin...
I think wifey #2 is a lying nutcase. The doctors who saw Casem when the kids took him to the hospital in WA verified that he had bone-deep bedsores and was severely undernourished, while wifey2 denied the whole thing.
I would not under any circumstances want to grow up as the stepchild of wifey #2....
Plus, that bizarre burial in Poland with the silent strange-looking daughter.......Wifey #2 would fit in with the crowd at the nearest looney bin very nicely.
This will drag on for years.......hope the kids win. how do you think it will turn out?
Agree. Hope the kids win their case.....they seem like reasonable humans.
Did he dig up some dirt on the Clintons?
He was rather well endowed.

If he’d ran for president I wouldn’t have voted for him. I have a policy of only voting for people with a pulse, he didn’t have one.
