That was my first reaction when I saw the trailer for this on the telly: “Give me Errol Flynn and Basil Rathbone any day. Still the best Robin Hood flick.

No doubt about it, although the Costner version was entertaining. The one with Connery & Audrey Hepburn, “Robin & Marian,” was also quite good.

Erroll Flynn’s Edison was filmed in a Bidwell Park in Chico, California—about 20 minutes from the Camp Fire. It’s one of the prettiest municipal parks in the nation.
