No doubt about it, although the Costner version was entertaining. The one with Connery & Audrey Hepburn, “Robin & Marian,” was also quite good.
I've been crazy for the story since I was a very little kid and have done a lot of research on the "real" Robin Hood ( yes, there were a few whose composite and lots of fiction, make up the story we all think we know )and that era.
The very best of the lot, is the Flynn one; though the Brit T.V. series, starring Richard Green is a close second.
Once the movies threw in PC "diversity" into the mix, no matter what else they did, THAT completely ruins the whole thing! There were NO blacks in England back then, the Muslims forces, whom the crusaders fought in "THE HOLY LAND" contained NO, nada, ziltch, bupkis, zero Negroids; NOT A SINGLE, SOLITARY ONE...full stop, period!
