Ukraine is weak because they elect weak, corrupt leaders who idiotically try to go against their Russian brothers no matter how it hurts their people.

The Russians didn’t steal Crimea.

The Obama state department carried out a coup in Ukraine. Russia refused to turn over their assets in theatre to the illegitimate new Government.

It would be truer to say that America stole the Ukraine - Obama certainly stole their gold.

You lie, there was a spontanious, peaceful, popular uprising on the part of the Ukrainian population against the oppressive regime of the twice convicted felon, utterly corrupt, Russian mafia leader "president" Yanukovych, who personally plundered the Ukrainian government coffers to the tune of 100 B I L L I O N DOLLARS:

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-ukraine-crisis-yanukovich-idUSBREA3T0K820140430

https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2014/05/01/world/politics-diplomacy-world/yanukovych-mafia-stole-100-billion/

and tried to sell Ukraine down the river to Russia by reneging on promise to work for closer ties with the West and working toward inclusion into the NATO alliance.

Instead Putin's puppet Yanukovych broke that promise then actively set out to have "closer ties with Russia", a move soundly rejected by the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians. These events were the catalyst for the popular uprising that took place. Things didn't turn violent until Yanukavich, with the direct aid of Putin and the Russian military began violently attacking, beating and then shooting the peaceful protestors. Only then did they use force to protect themselves.

These events are clearly presented in the widely acclaimed documentary "Winter on Fire, Ukraine's Fight for Freedom" which can be viewed on NETFLIX.

Rather than answer for his crimes against the people and government of Ukraine, the Russian mafia thug Yanukovych fled the country by helicopter to Russia. One of the first things this crook did was buy himself a 50 MILLION DOLLAR MANSION, with a fraction of the 100 BILLION DOLLARS he personally stole from the Ukrainian people, treasury and government.

So don't give us any of the "Ukrainian neo nazi", American, Obama coup crap because it is Russian propaganda lies.

As for the Crimea; after Russia illegally invaded, occupied and annexed Crimea by force and stole it from Ukraine, Russia militarized the border and entire peninsula to the point of bringing in TACTICAL NUCLEAR WEAPONS.

The Russian government overthrew the entire judicial system within Crimea and replaced the existing judges with Russian judicial hacks who tow the Kremlin line.

These new Russian "judges" throughout Crimea have actively participated in using the rigged "courts" to steal businesses and property (especially valuable properties in prime locations) from their rightful owners.

Russian, thug, mobsters, government officials and members of the military show up with phony forged "deeds" claiming that they own the property being contested and these corrupt Russian judges that have been "installed", rule in favor of these charlatans against the rightful Crimean property owners and award these properties to these Russian thieves.

Crimea was beautiful and a wonderful place to go on vacation. The tourist industry thrived before Russia literally MINED the border with Ukraine and turned the whole peninsula into a giant prison camp where Russian troops/thugs armed with automatic weapons rome at will; threaten business unless they "pay protection money", and shake down tourists and the residents of Crimea, especially the multitude of people who are not ethnic Russians at the point of a gun.

Russia has turned once beautiful Crimea into a hell-hole and totally destroyed the once thriving tourist industry. Is it any wonder no one in their right mind wants to vacation there (unless you are Russian), and the major cruise lines now avoid the place like the plague.

And all you Russian apologists here on FR, don't you dare lie and say "Crimea belonged to Russia" because that is patently false. Nikita Kruchev deeded Crimea back to Ukraine back in 1951.

Also don't use the lying excuse that "Russia needed Crimea back because of its strategic naval base in Simpheropol." Because the fact of the matter is just a few years PRIOR to Russia's illegal invasion and unlawful annexation of Crimea, the Ukrainian government had agreed to and signed a 75 YEAR LEASE with Putin's Russian government, permitting Russia FULL, UNFETTERED ACCESS to these strategic instalations.

Uh-huh. One of those 'spontaneous peaceful uprisings' with imported snipers and a bodycount.

After the coup, Obama's state department stole Ukraine's gold, set up a puppet regime and deliberately pauperised the country: cutting it off from discounted gas and coal.

Thank God that Hillary isn't in the Oval Office, and can't re-ignite war in the name of the Qatar-Turkey pipeline. Syria and Ukraine might yet have peace.

Postscript: I remember years ago: playing a boardgame called Game of Nations.

The point of the game was to link your oil/gas pipelines to Europe and to block everyone else. You did this by effecting regime change in different countries along the way.

You used dictators, religious leaders, hereitary monarchs and spontaneous peaceful popular uprisings populists to take control of a given country.

I was young and - God help me - I thought it was dull and a bit pretentious. Now I realise it was bang on the nose. The QT pipeline drives a huge % of foreign policy worldwide, and has racked up a death toll on a scale with the Civil War.

How could the US steal a sovereign country? Who did they steal it from?

Boo hoo.......You’re like the deep swampers when it comes to Russia. We’ll just continue to disagree on that note...I can always tell your kind, ....right out of the gate you call anyone a “Shrill for Putin” regardless of the facts. Better you just not post to me on the subject of Russia...we’ll never agree.
