Perhaps Senator Ernst should consider the fate of Paul Ryan, Jeff Flake, and others who were enemies of Trump. Martha McSally probably lost because of her prior Never Trump position. Republicans won 4 out of 6 statewide offices. Ducey won by 340,000 votes in the gubernatorial race, while McSally lost by 56,000 votes. Turnout in Arizona was about 2.35 million, so 17% of voters who voted for Doug Ducey switched to Kyrsten Sinema against McSally. In Texas, Ted Cruz suffered for his public dislike of Trump. While he won his reelection race, about 10% of voters who supported Greg Abbott for Governor did not support Cruz.

I didn’t see the program, but if you read the article, it says she refused to criticize the President. That’s a big improvement over a lot of rinos.

Not sure the headline reflects her full statement. While she said “we would prefer that we keep it open,” she ended with, “but you know what, the safety of our nation comes first.” The media could have used that last sentence as the headline, but didn’t

That's true. However, social security is the #1 Ponzi scheme, and politicians likely see increased immigration of legal taxpaying workers as the way to keep the pyramid going a little bit longer, just long enough until the boomers begin passing and the payouts begin decreasing.

I think she is correct. Think about it. we want free and open trade. we just don’t want the people walking across. Closing the border to force Mexico to keep the asylum seekers also means keeping the border closed to trade. That is the leverage.

We have a divided political party called the Republican Party which is combination of a tiny minority of globalist and a nationalist majority. Globalists and nationalist should NEVER be in the same political party.
