President Trump said Thursday that Congress may have to step in to stop people from filing lawsuits in the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which he said seems to routinely rule against his policies.
Trump said people who oppose his border plans have relied on 9th Circuit rulings to thwart him, and said Congress might be asked to step in to make the file legal arguments elsewhere.
"Everybody files in the 9th Circuit," Trump told reporters in Florida. "I haven't seen anybody file anyplace else. They automatically go to the 9th Circuit."
"I think we're going to have to stop and somehow the judges are going to have to get together, or Congress is going to have to get together and stop it," he added. "Because they're taking advantage of our country by filing consistently and always, just about that I see, in the 9th Circuit."

ummm yeah but the ‘Rats just won the House, so the chances of getting any improvements on this are less than zero.
If any legislation putting the screws to the 9th Circuit requires approval by the House, it ain’t gonna happen...at least not for a couple of years.

The important thing is that Trump, unlike any Republican predecessor, has started a long needed fight. George Washington’s initial odds were even less.
Not my job to encourage people who want to throw in the towel.....with all that this President has done that was said could never be done...and STILL people here on FR don’t get it.

Politics is the art of compromise. The problem is the Democrats don’t really stand for anything, so there is nothing to horse trade.

Ryan succeeded in serving his masters.
We don;t know how it’s going to go with certainty. We’ll likely get a lot less done had they not won the house but that doesn’t mean to throw in the towel. I’m not fully convinced how things will go because the Dems have a lot of infighting happening currently.
We shall see how this all plays out in time and tide.
I’m not throwing up the white flag in general, just this particular issue with the 9th Circuit is very unlikely to change anytime soon. Lots of other places are more likely for progress.

Supposedly, many of the new House members are “moderates.” Even still, I see no way Pelosi is going to allow, arguably, the most powerful judicial instrument progressives have, the 9th Circuit, to be neutered.

I can only speak for myself but I’ve watched this President accomplish things I would never have thought possible ....so I won’t underestimate what is or not possible with the 9th court. He is a man who loves leverage and often throws things out there to get the rats pants in knots.....and it usually does.
