A DAD who knocked out a drunk who urinated on his fence and tried to goad him into a fight will not be prosecuted in a victory for common sense.
The man, who hasn't been named, was filmed punching the topless intruder to the ground as he tries to defend his home.
Please see the full article (including a good film clip of the altercation) at the link.

I saw this a few weeks ago.
The Dad in this video is the model of self restraint.
That guy deserved a good punch in the jaw from the beginning.
They may be from England, but their accent is so broad, it almost sounds Australian. I can only barely understand some of what’s said. But the body language and tone of both men communicates very clearly.
Oh, that's the way they talk English! Never mind...
That the drunk guy who got KTFO didn't want to pursue charges against the homeowner is the primary reason.
Perhaps he saw the video and thought, "I'm embarrassed for myself and should really give up drinking."
If I use fighting words and thereby provoke an altercation; and have the living crap beat out of me, I cannot sue for assault. Why? Because I provoked the encounter.
So if some jerk spray paints or urinates on my fence; how is this not fighting words? As long as I do not kill him, I should be able to do to him whatever I deem fit. IMHO this includes paralyzing him for life.
Dont try to destroy my home; and there is literally nothing to worry about.
Genuine shocked the British Government isn’t putting dad in prison for this. They almost always favor the criminal in these situations.
Classic cockney accent, east London.
There is still hope for England.
I saw the video a while back. Most of the commenters were worried that under British law, the additional hits after the first one would be considered an attack and the father would be arrested..
Only when the criminal is non-white or Muslim.
