I grew up in CommieThornYa. I remember Taco Bell, Carl's Jr, and McDonald's from when they were young companies. I mentioned how creeping socialism was ruining good places to my older brother a few decades ago. “But California is doing that and it's just fine” he insisted. “Just wait” I said, “If it continues like this California too will fall”. Sometimes it hurts to be right. I do miss the state that it was.

“Carl Karcher was a great conservative.” True. Mr. and Mrs. Karcher were faithful Catholics with over ten kids who went to my high school. Great family. Mr. Karcher was upset with the silly ads produced in the late 1990’s and the ads today are still trashy.
Sad that the Karcher company is moving away from California and glad they found a new, better home.
The Carl’s in Ventura has cool Ikea easy chairs.

Not sure if there is one, but before Carl Jr, Hardee’s was owned by Panthers former owner Jerry Richardson, along with Bojangles, Denny’s and others. Can’t recall if Shoney’s was in that group or not.

When companies reach a certain size they start functioning like government anyway (no white guys need apply, tokens galore, “progressive” agenda, etc.).
