After years of saying he would never run for any political office, radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh is now open to the possibility, even if it’s the White House.
“I’m not flat-out saying no. I’m gonna have to reassess it at some point,” Limbaugh said in the final moments of his Wednesday broadcast when a caller urged him to seek the presidency once President Donald Trump has completed his service to the nation.
“I am deeply flattered,” Limbaugh said of the suggestion. “Before Trump … it would not have been possible.”
Limbaugh was acknowledging that Trump has pushed back so well against his political opponents, including the media, it has opened the door for a conservative such as himself to consider the idea.

He was very good at talking up candidates without overtly endorsing them.
Especially Romney. Limbaugh was all over Romney years ago. And I heard him talking up Kasich more recently. As far as I’m concerned it has the same effect as an outright endorsement. Maybe even more potent.
The left would crucify Rush over his oxycontin problem.

I think Rush cares too much about what others think of him to do a very good job as President. Less than actual politicians, but way more than Trump does.

Why would you start off with a passive-aggressive insult in your first post to me, and then tell me to sleep well?
It seems you’re feeling threatened in some way by my comments. There’s no need for that.
Don’t see this happening. Rush has money to be independent and beholden to no one - but in amounts equal to DJT? Over the years we have heard him repeatedly tell us he would be unable to ask for campaign contributions. It’s just not his nature. Does he hire an employee for this responsibility?
HEALTH- remembering that he ended up in emergency at a Hawaii hospital just a few years ago. Don’t recall ever hearing what might have happened but heart conditions were discussed at some point.
Rush might have been tepid when DJT first announced; but give the man credit - he knows in his gut the nation needs POTUS TRUMP.

True Rush did make his bones before Trump and I thought that Trump would for certain run in 2020 but I think he is frustrated with the system, the fair weathered voters and Leftists in general...

Rush is a Bushey! He owes the Bushes for giving him his start in California they thought he would be great use to the Republican Party and pushed him along. Just like they gave him start they could also take him out! Nobody is too big for them to take out think Alex Jones! It’s true back in the 2016 election he was pushing Rubio . 2 weeks before the election I remember when he actually said Rubio was the only real conservative! Sometimes Rush has to pay back what he owes! If you listen to him long enough you can tell when he’s doing it usually during the election phase or like when George Bush was pushing NAFTA. Rush said NAFTA was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I don’t hold it against Rush because of all the good he has done for conservatives. If he hadn’t push Rubio he wouldn’t be here today. But you can tell when Rush is really free. And you can hear the Glee in his voice when he talks about Trump. If you poo poo the fact that someone has to have their speech controlled because others expect it just remember when you sit at the Christmas table with your family and you’re the only conservative and they all voted for Obama tell me just how free are you to express your opinions every minute of every day??? If you truly told them what you thought of Obama and Hillary you’d probably never see your family again! Nobody is ever really that free and has restrictions.
Rush is equally as strong as Trump.
I don’t know whether Rush is as pro-American as Trump about trade, but he is every bit as significant in the overall scheme of things.
I believe he needs to become much more pro-American about trade. Bigtime.
But I’d vote for the guy in 2024. Absolutely.
In 2024. 2020 is Trump’s.
In my opinion it will likely be Hannity, and he will make a good one. I have my reasons.

He’s screwing around with the Left’s feeble mind, forcing them to spend a lot of time writing on just his possible thinking of running.
He’s like Trump. Throw the enemy a plastic bone and let them chew on it for a long time before they realize that they’ve been had.
Then thrown them another bone and repeat the process for shits and grins.
