And don’t forget Rush ate dinner with the Gang of Eight (Schumer, Rubio, McCain, Lindsay Graham etc.) in NYC where he allowed them to influence him to squelch opposition to Immigration Reform on his show. We would never have known about this except the NY Times outed him.
And if he appears to be pro-Trump now, it is only to fatten his wallet.
Rush Limbaugh is a dyed-in-the-wool phony.
Rush is not who he pretends to be. He had me fooled for many many years. He won’t run and won’t win. His life can’t handle the scrutiny and he is very defensive when the truths come out. There are some wonderful things about Rush but he isn’t as good a human being as he pretends to be.
Actually he should run in 2018, and use the platform to attack the Dem candidates and defend Trump. Follow Reagan’s 11th commandment, “thou shall not criticize fellow Republicans” and just redirect any and all questions into an attack on Trump’s opponents.

Between his current and previous marriage he certainly enjoyed lots of women, young ones at that. Hence the golf vacations in Santo Domingo or Costa Rica. Few things help an aging guy's libido more than Viagra and a really good looking 17 yr old Dominican cutie. He also got hooked on pain killers to his everlasting regret. Aside from those peccadillo's what else? He appears to lead an almost monastic life with show prep taking two or three hours for every broadcast hour. His previous wives have gotten generous settlements and the dissolution seemed to be that many women don't like being married to a workaholic, even a very rich and successful one. At least that is true in the last 30-40 years.

I believe that was the big issue with PDJT and Ivana. He’s either alluded to that, or outright said it.
Most of us have known that for decades. Of course, having a big ego is a prerequisite for running for president. Trump certainly does.

There have been long periods of time when we went dark on listening to Rush for various reasons. And then it occurs to me that, overall, I hate to think of an America where Rush didn’t exist. He’s seen us — me, at least — through some bad times.
Doubtful that he’d even consider a presidential run, though. It’s too much work and I think Rush is not that ambitious. Sure, he’s achieved high success, but I don’t think it’s the result of ambition, but more like he’s doing what he LOVES. The monetary gain is gravy.
And then there’s his history as you pointed out. Trump survived his history, but his win was magical, or inspired by God. Also his hearing issues could be a problem.

Rush is being ironic.
Occasional Cortex would spew talking points, and Rush would utilize reason. Reason would not matter to 51% of the voters, who only deal in appearances.

I recall listening to Rush when news was breaking that Trump was to run for POTUS. As Trump was speaking, Rush was snickering and thought of it as a joke.
